Was there 1 hour before closing and decided to buy some plushes for kids' presents. When we got to the counter, the male cashier got overly excited and started to grab the plushies and aggressively deformed each of them while smashing it into a ball. He thought we were ok with his playfulness, but we were in so much shock that we didn't know what to even say. He continued to do so to every single one of the large plushes (5 total) as he scanned them. One of the plushes also didn't have a price tag. He called another employee to do price check. The employee was dreading having to go find the price. She came back and randomly grabbed a more expensive plush and told us she couldnt find another one so she gave us the new price. I wasn't happy because the plush in question, did have at least 2-3 other exact ones when we were back there looking. Our total came out to over $120ish and I was completely mad and uncomfortable. I had a hard time wanting to pay. Fortunately, our new tj maxx card wasn't activated yet and got declined. So i took the opportunity to tell my gf to just leave. They asked if we still wanted the items, and i gladly said no. The look on their faces were filled with so much disgust and anger. Bad customer service, even if the store is 1 hour...
Read moreClean and organized most of the time. Lines go pretty quickly even when they are long. Staff could be a bit more helpful though. I’m only giving 4 stars due to this fact and an incident. In these times of Covid, there are usually two individuals standing at the entrance counting people etc. as they come in. A couple weeks ago I was entering the store when the automatic door jammed and would not open. The two individuals at the front just stood and stared at me as I struggled to finally push the door open myself. When it opened they just laughed said “yeah it keeps getting stuck”. I found it a bit unprofessional and unacceptable that they firstly did nothing to assist and secondly had a chuckle about it as I entered. Of course I like this location so I’ll always return but the staff could definitely work on their helpfulness...
