Maui Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Fresno

I have eaten from this establishment a various amount of times. But only this once have I ever made a review. So without further ado...

First off, I have never had an issue with the service here. It was always friendly based on my experience.

Now the food, is pretty good here, however... Today, I ordered the BBQ chicken burger with seasoned fries and a Sobe Yum-berry pomegranate. Yet it seems that I did not receive my drink... Or maybe I forgot to pick it up.

Anyway, in my honest opinion, I was not very impressed with the burger. Personally, I am not a fan of raw onions on a burger; I believe red onions or grilled onions is the way to go. The tomato was lacking in freshness. The hamburger bun, even though it was toasted, it was a little cold, and when I bit in to it, it was a kind of dry and chewy. Now don't get me wrong... The burger wasn't terrible, but it could use some improvement.

The seasoned fries are actually pretty good. They're crispy and not too greasy. The only complaint is that the inside of the fries was a little mushy.

Overall, I rate my meal a 6/10, so I think I will stick with the regular plates next time. But this is a good place for Hawaiian BBQ, and I definitely...

I have the worst food poisoning from this place I don't know who the managment is but this is one of the most lousiest places to eat at. Compared to real Hawaiian cuisine it can't compare especially the quality is below average. I GOT FOOD POSIONING ! My drink was Thai Tea disgusting and watered down I ask to have a new drink and they made this gross strawberry smoothie while the employee literally was breathing inside the blender before she made it I am not exaggerating! The trash cans were filled to the top my sushi roll was warm and disgusting certain products while handling food should be kept cold. The other Hawaiian Barbaque place however in river park is much cleaner , food is hot or cold the way it should be, keeping food at room temperature is a no go. Terrible service. I tried to call ahead and they refused to take the order because they would be closing in 20 minutes. I told them I would be there in 5. One of the cooks in the back sucked his teeth and rolled his eyes when I began to order. The dining was filthy and all the staff appeared to be standing around. The staff was also gossiping about other customers that brought back orders while I was waiting for the order among other things.I used to love this place and the service used to be wonderful. I suppose the service has changed due to the changes in staff. There also appeared to be a manger on duty but for some reason he seemed to completely ignore the staff. Terrible service.
