These are some photos of Willow Creek that I had the presence of mind to take. Upon arriving at Willow Creek two hours before they lock the door, the room was dirty, had used patient tubing and trash in all of the cans, dead flowers left on the dresser you couldn’t open the drawers on, bloody cotton ball on the bathroom floor and a dirty toothbrush left on the shelf in the bathroom. We had to ask them to mop the dirty floor and to please clean the room. The night shift ignored him and left him a soiled brief through the night and the next morning dressed him in someone else’s clothes and gave him food with someone else’s name on it and that’s just the beginning… most negative reviews are discounted by Willow Creek or put so far down that you never see them. That’s unfortunate and I know, if you have no other options, Willow Creek will have to do, but be sure to take pictures and document everything. The photos above are after they helped my husband in the bathroom…the cushion covered with feces was left in the bathroom until we complained several times to have it removed. How clean can that bathroom be, after cleaning it, with a soiled wheelchair cushion on the floor? They finally picked it up but never mopped the floor again. Once we asked to be moved, everything changed. Everyone very attentive; how can we make it right; room thoroughly cleaned (except for bathroom) and I can’t even get into the fiasco of getting him back to bed only to see he was still covered in feces and needed to be cleaned again and please, before you say “what did you expect?”, let me tell you, we were in Kaiser, Fresno Street for 32 days and NEVER ONCE experienced anything even close to this! Our daughter, Jamie Salgado, wrote a review Willow claimed was untrue and unfounded and that all issues had been resolved. They were resolved when we transferred out of there and went to Horizon. I would never recommend or suggest Willow Creek to anyone “if you have a choice”. We pushed for the transfer and paid a fee to get it done but it was worth every dollar and the 6 hours it took to transport him to Horizon. Please also know, that we are not demanding or unreasonable people, but we hope to make others aware that you have to be active and an advocate for your loved one, no matter their mental or physical condition. You are all they have to make sure they are taken care of. I will say that most of the staff was very nice and understanding during the transfer request and worked hard to make it happen. Thank you Willow...
Read moreI arrived here from St Agnes at approximately 1:00pm this afternoon. I was sent here by Dr. Wong who was supposedly My Doctor. He rolled in around 2 hours later to spend 30seconds speaking to my roommate. When he was rushing out I said to him “You are my Doctor too”. He didn’t miss a step, rushed right out of the room with a “no I’m not”. I had my BP taken 1 time since I have been here. The lovely lady next to me has a hearing problem that I can deal with. Except for the 1st night here after being treated at the Hospital for 8 days for Anxiety and Difficulty Sleeping all night, I requested something to help me sleep due to being in a new place. At 8:00pm I asked for something to help me Sleep. I asked the CNA at least 4 times and She said She would get the Nurse. Every time She asked the Nurse. It has now been over 3 hours and 3 requests later, and I still have not seen a Nurse. I was assured when I left St Agnes that “The Doctors” Orders were being sent along with My Chart Specifing that I was to given an Ativan to relax My Anxiety, and Shortly after an Ambien So I could sleep more than 1-2 hours at a time to control My Very High Blood Pressure. So Far I Have Seen Nothing Nor Have I Heard Anything From Any Doctor Or Nurse. Since I was ignored for over 3 hours, I asked If I could have a pair of earplugs because the lovely lady next to Me had a hearing problem and I did not want for Her to have to turn down Her TV. Well, they had no earplugs. By now I was beginning to have an itching attack on top of the anxiety and breathing problem I have nearly clawed Myself until I am bleeding. So as a last resort, I requested some Benadryl to at least stop the itching and perhaps calm Me down. Well guess what. Not 1 single word or acknowledgment of My Mading Condition and Now It Has Been almost 4 hours. I have no idea how I am going to get any type of Rehabilitation in this place without the Care Or Consideration From Any Other Person Than The CNA, who has been trying to get me a nurse for almost over 4 hours. I would think that a new patient on there 1st Full Day would be treated better than I have been treated today and tonight. The place is clean and lovely, but the “Skilled Nursing” is nearly a myth. Be Very Skeptical of This Pretty Face With A Frightening Lack Of Compentrncy. I Am Disappointed And Angry At The Lack Of Professionalism In What They Advertise As...
Read moreNo place is perfect, but the hard work and effort given every day by the: Admin - who spoke w/me personally when the lady I caregive for was discharged from the hospital at 7pm and we were scrambling to make such an important healthecare decision, she assured me they would take great care of Miss P. and they did. Social Services - who helped navigate issues I was struggling with and was very accommodating re: discharge. Front desk - welcoming, fields tons of calls, and is super kind to patients who spend time in the reception area. OT, PT, Nursing staff, Dr's, CNA's - Miss P received excellent care and appreciates each of these exceptional, hardworking heros! Food Services - met with Miss P. personally to help her with her dietary needs, made her feel known and cared for. Custodial and House Keeping - the most clean facility I have been in. And everyone else who works so diligently at Willow Creek to make every day care happen for so many people earns them a 5 Star rating from me. My experience is with the rehab side of the facility, and I am so grateful the lady I caregive for was sent here to recover. She will be going home today because of the wonderful care she received. Now, if you've read this far into my review, my only difficulty and the one improvement I would suggest is - better communication. Updates are paramount for family and caregivers, especially when planning for the future care of our loved ones and patients. Weekly or bimonthly check-ins, in person or by phone, would have really helped. I received a smattering of information from different departments but nothing cohesive, that helped me understand how the lady I caregive for was recovering, week to week, and what the care plan was to get her home again on her own. So communication receives 3.8 stars, but I understand there are a lot of moving parts and didn't think it should take away from the 5 star effort given daily by so many hardworking people. I will conclude by saying thank you to everyone for the incredible job you are doing! I didn't use names because I simply did not want to...
