My husband and I stayed at the neighboring hotel for our anniversary so we thought we'll try this place.
We got up early to see the sunrise and thought we'd pop in for breakfast. We got there at 10 till 8 and saw they opened at 8, so we waited outside and were going to eat there.
About 8:05 we decided to walk in because no one greeted us. The guy that walked past us (for the second time) said "you here for mom and pops" we said "yeah", and he said okay I'll be back.
No good morning, no coffee, just moved outside (where we were just sitting) on the phone.
When I noticed there was no coffee made and the only guy working there couldn't even be bothered to say good morning, want coffee, or I'll be right with you, we thought, nah, let's walk to Dennys across the street.
Glad we did because the food at Dennys was stellar and the server was incredible. Good attitude, super attentive and it was a great experience.
I gave this place 2 stars because we never actually tried the food, the greeting (or lack there of) was enough for us to...
Read moreVery small place in a hotel. Not really a restaurant… more of just a small room with a bar, some tables and a tv. I think you can sit outside during the day as I saw a few tables out there. Only 1 person doing everything… server, cook, bartender, busboy. If you are in a rush, this is not the place for you as one person can only do so much. Not sure if there are more workers at different times of the day. Food was decent and worker was very friendly. He had to disappear for awhile to go cook behind the curtain so he wasn’t able to be very attentive. Never offered a refill of our drinks. Other patrons that walked in sat there for a good while before he appeared and they seemed very annoyed. Food was pretty good so I guess it made up for the “unique experience.” Seems more fit for people staying at the hotel. It’s also a little store with random snacks available to purchase. Note- the bag of chips that came with my daughter’s meal expired in January...
Read moreIf you haven’t been to Mom and Pop’s Restaurant yet, you are seriously missing out — and the heart and soul of the place is Olivia.
She’s not just the waitress — she’s also the cook, and somehow she manages to do both roles better than most full teams. Olivia greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel like family the moment we walked in. Her service was fast, friendly, and genuine, the kind that you just don’t find anymore.
And then came the food — WOW. You’d never guess the same person who took your order is the one back there cooking it all to perfection. Every bite was homemade, comforting, and full of flavor. Olivia clearly puts love and pride into every plate.
It’s rare to find someone this hardworking, talented, and kind. She’s the reason we’ll be coming back again and again. Do yourself a favor: stop in, ask for Olivia, and prepare to be impressed.
Thank you, Olivia — you...
