Aqua Lounge — Restaurant in Cocoa

I typically don’t leave reviews but the experience and feedback after has been so terrible that if I could keep someone else from experiencing what I did sad to say but would be worth it. First off, me and a group of 3 other women walked in and inquired about a table we were told we made it right before they were going to charge for vip sections. So we paid our cover charge and was escorted to the top balcony. We ordered and was enjoying our self maybe 10 minutes go by and the waitress without informing us what happened moved our hooka to the back seats by the speakers. We inquired why and she said that it was because someone had purchased the vip sections. So we sit there, I order a drink (The woo hoo which was 8.75) and maybe another 20 minutes goes by and I see a male grab my friend out the bar area and pulls her down stairs while screaming and cursing at her saying we took his section. We immediately get the waitress she informs us the lounge was booked for a birthday and we wouldn’t be able to finish our hooka and drinks we explain the situation. The waitress immediately gets belligerent and starts pushing in my friends face saying don’t yell at her mind you rap music is playing on 100 so how do you determine if someone is yelling at you? We decide we want to leave she makes it a point to say she’s still needs to collect payment. After all that we should of been refunded for our cover charge and drinks/hooka we didn’t even get to finish. The owner does come out to say his establishment is way more classy than what we experienced that night. Fast forward to a couple days I noticed I was charged $22 and I didn’t tip (my drink was only 8.75) after the service I received. I reached out the establishment and the number is disconnected. I emailed and emailed and explained the situation and no one got back to me. I emailed regarding reservations and immediately got a response!!! All in all please avoid this place. So my friends and I came here for a friends birthday. They seemed skeptical about our party because we were pretty lit and the co owner told us we couldn’t dance anymore and that we were cut off from drinking. We were a bit confused because the music is bumping in there and it feels like you’re meant to dance in there. Come to find out they were nervous about us possibly knocking over the hookas. Which is fair because they are a brand new business! However, after talking to them they were super cool and understood we weren’t a young party (30-50) and let us continue to dance. This place was really amazing as far as aesthetics and after talking to the owner and co owner they were really great people. The owner himself will come to every table and ask if everything is great. He will also ask for feedback! And actually take it in for what it’s worth! He was so great to our party and even hung with us for a little bit including the co owner :) ! Im glad they came around because for a second I almost felt like I wasn’t gonna come back. Me and my wife were in town a day before our cruise and found this place on google a few days before we traveled. I was really impressed with the reviews and the photos we seen, so we decided to visit. Now we went kind of early so we were literally 2 of the 4 people (not counting the servers) inside. But that didn't bother me at all. When we got in, this hookah bar looked really good!!!! Comfortable seating, good music playing, and a real friendly bar staff. I could definitely see myself visiting again. In fact im counting down the days when we can visit again. When i got back home, I told all my friends and family about the establishment and hopefully I can bring a few if not all of them back with me. We ordered a simple hookah with an ice hose and a few cocktails. Great hookah and cocktail selection. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely a must when your in the Cocoa area!!!
