Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Coldwater

Have had three absolutely terrible experiences with this location. With only a few decent restaurants in town I really wish they had higher standards for customer service. We brought our two kids in for dinner and each ordered a meal, plus we ordered an appetizer and my husband ordered a beer. The service was extremely slow and they were not overly busy. The waiter completely forgot a side of fries, the appetizer was brought out after our main meals, and my husband did not receive his beer until after we had finished our meals. They did agree to "comp" the appetizer and I felt like the waiter might have been new, so I looked the other way on the other mistakes knowing that sometimes people just have off days! A few days later I ordered car side to go for a lunch and took the first slot available after they opened. It took 30 minutes and two phone calls after my pick up time to finally get the food. Once at our destination we realized that the kids drinks were not given, no silverware, and my sons meal was still ice cold. I called and spoke with management and explained how disappointed in both of our experiences. She offered to email me a gift card for my trouble (which I never received and its been over a month). Again, this is one of the few places in town to eat so its hard to avoid. My coworkers just decided to order car side for lunch. I ordered a wrap and fries....the fries were completely mushy and cold. If you are looking for a decent meal this is not the place to go. It was recently become very disappointing and its clear that management does not have things...

So last night 3/2/18 shawn and I took the kiddos to applebees in coldwater for a nice little family dinner. I ordered the burbon chicken and shrimp.... I specifically told the waitress NO SHRIMP and that I have a sea food allergy and they cannot be cooked together. She said she would inform the kitchen. We wait 20 minutes and food arrives. We start eating. I get about half way through the chicken and see something tucked up under one of the red potatoes next to the chicken on the plate....

A PIECE OF SHRIMP WAS ON MY PLATE UNDER THE POTATOES!!

We immediately tell the waitress and she offers a recook and says she will send someone to talk to me.....

A lady walks over says shes a manager asks what happens and tells me that they do not cook the meats together a d the only thing she can think of is that when all the meals are in the window and the put the shrimp on..maybe one fell on my plate.....okay why are they next to each other at all. She says meal is free and dessert is free....only.my plate not the rest of the food.

Another person walked up and said he was also a manager and that my meal was free and that the waitress never put that on the receipt.

So we still pay our 30$ bill and leave....

I get a call today from the Applebees manager and he says he will give me a gift card and that card is to applebees for 50$... Why would I go back there????!!!!!

Coldwater...

The Ribs have been very disappointing lately! They were really good the first few times of ordering them. But in the past few months, I've noticed a couple things. One that's got me wondering if they are recooking the ribs. They have two flavors, Honey BBQ and Asian Chilli sauce. I always get Honey BBQ. But the last 3 or 4 times, I've noticed that they are rather spicey. Making me wonder, if they are reselling the Asian Chilli Sauce ribs that don't sell. And retiring them with Honey BBQ...? It's edible, but for the price. It's unacceptable! I hope this isn't what's going on! Also, they've been tough and have a good bit of gristle and tough meat in them. However, with this being said. Coldwater's location is actually the better ones I've been to. The cooks do well with cooking everything else and the staff are nice and friendly. I'm not one to complain or be that guy in person. Mainly because it's not something that the cooks or waitresses/waiters have done. But more along the lines of an upper management decision to possibly save money. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that it's fixed. Or they at least get a better supplier for their ribs. The chicken quesadilla is mouth watering good! And they have very tasty burgers as well! Just hope they can fix the problem...
