I want to make it clear... THIS IS THE COLERAIN AVENUE LOCATION.
COLERAIN AVENUE AND I-275. I do not want any other location to get my review. Colerain deserves the rating and review.
If I could give a negative rating I would! This location has always been one of my favorites! Waitresses are always accommodating, very friendly! But in the last few months, I have noticed a big change. Morale has seemed to go down. About the same time as new management arrived.
I have Stage 4 cancer, and with a compromised immune system, don't spend a lot of time in public places. I called in a VERY simple order this evening, bowl of chicken noodles and rolls. Ordered and paid for online.
I got to the restaurant at the designated time, and watched workers, management, waitresses all look at me and totally ignore I was even there. I sat for 20 minutes, before I identified who the manager on duty was. I called him over, and he went to talk to a blonde haired female, who comes over and just gives me a new total on the rolls. Which is fine I knew they would be extra. She was charging me $2.94 extra for the rolls. Thought that was a little expensive, but when you are a cancer patient, and have a taste for something, you go with it. But after looking at their webpage, 1/2 dz is only $2.99. Again, whatever.
She proceeds to tell me my food hasn't been sitting for "that long". That she put it in there herself. Here "you wanna feel it, it's still warm" Funny I like my food hot, not sitting around for at least 20 minutes!!! Really???? The entire time I have been here, (again it has now been over 20 minutes), and you have come NO WHERE NEAR THIS END OF THE COUNTER! I just told her to keep the damn order.
I hope she NEVER finds herself going thru the effects of cancer. (I would not wish this on anyone) Where just getting in the car and coming to pick up the order takes major effort.
So you have lost a longtime loyal customer at the Colerain store. The funny thing they were not even busy!!! I have been going there since they opened. Read moreCalled in a order. Got there said they didn't have it. Went to two different people once I arrived to place the order. Lady asked me 4 times what I ordered. She finally took my order than she discovered the order was ready. While waiting for it to be bagged up the gentlemen behind me asked if someone else could ring him out he had been waiting behind me the entire time she was working on me. Not one apology nothing not to me not to the guy behind me. VERY RUDE. The service in this store is by far the worst bob Evans around. As a person working with customers how can you not apologize at least one time. Really. I suggested to the man to go on line and put a comment out on how the service was. Don't know if he will or not. But if you do anything at all train your people at this location courtesy. Two servers both dark hair one small one bigger both wore glasses to learn how to say they are sorry. That's all it is SORRY. They should know better or find a different job where they do not work with the public because they do not know how to. I wish I had gotten there name because even after I said to the smaller one that she hadn't even apologized one time she just looked at me as if she had no idea what I was talking about. This is a poor reflection on Bob Evans at the Colerain location. All either one had to do was apologize but neither one said it or even thought about it. Next move is to contact Bob Evans...
Read moreWow, we arrived at 8:30 am today, 8/5/25. Half of our table finished eating 10-15 minutes ago, while 3 of our party STILL don't have food at 9:50!!! There was another party of 11 at about 8:45, and they have finished and left 15+ minutes ago. We have NOT seen a manager or anyone else. This is absurd. This was our first and last visit to Bob Evans in years. What a mess compared to Bob Evans of the past. The server just now told us a manager has been cooking!! If this is correct, this certainly is not the same training program the managers went through in the past, as we have gotten our food over a total of 25 minutes, in 3 deliveries, for a party of 11. Worst thing is there are now a total of 4 other customers in the restaurant and no one seems to care at all about the pathetic shape this location is in. Please, please, please do something with this location, as they NEED HELP!!!!! Worst thing is that all 3 of the food deliveries arrived to the table cold. Our server is now apologizing about the horrid experience we had. In the future, perhaps the "weak manager" trying to cook should call in some back up. This is not fair to the staff you do have, when they are forced to served cold, sub par food that looks NOTHING like the pictures on menu.
