First, I want to start off by saying this… this is my second time trying out Greek food from the same place. Food was delicious both times within 2 weeks. My only problem is the employee serving my food, Jake. almost feel like there was some sort of racism towards me. Not sure if he didn’t like black people eating foods from his culture or what? First time and second time I had negative experiences from that one employee! First time and second he told me I have a limit on what I can order because they’re about to run out plus he had a negative attitude towards me. This time, there were more customers in the long line. The manager wasn’t helping him with the long line and Jake was just the only team member fixing food. I’ve seen how he treated other customers before in the line. As he gets closer to serving me, I was getting nervous about getting treated differently. This time it was worst. When I ordered a bowl, I was pointing out the things what I wanted and he was standing on the other side of the counter, telling me what I’m going to get in my bowl and won’t let me order what I want to order. His body language and the was he was talking to me so bad, especially infront the manager… I was offended and EMBARRASSED about his energy towards me infront of other customers. I’m never going to be comfortable ordering from that place in concourse D. If I see him at that counter, I will pass unless I get another crewmember, like myself (outside of my race) go there and get it for me instead of showing my face at that counter. I don’t recommend other black crewmembers going there, because I know for sure they will experience the same as me. As much as I would love to eat from that place, I will have to pass...
Read moreI was in line to get food here and ended up leaving the line after witnessing disgusting (literal and figurative) behavior by the employee. First, as she was serving someone, I saw her reach under her hat and pull her hairnet down - touching her hair with the glove on her hand, and then went straight to the pitas and grabbed one with that same hand. But the real issue I had was with the way she treated the middle eastern man in front of me. Let me reiterate that this is a restaurant serving middle eastern food. This man (who was with his daughter) did have an accent, but spoke perfectly well and proper English. The worker, who is not middle eastern, would say “huh???” in a very condescending way after literally every single thing the man would say. It was very clear that she was purposely pretending that she couldn’t understand him. She was closer to him than I was, plus his back was to me, and I understood every single word he said. To be blunt - it was racist. I couldn’t believe that she felt so comfortable trying to humiliate the man because of his accent in front of his daughter and everyone else in line. The man was never reactive to it, but I was so disgusted with this employee that I had to just walk away. It was late and everything else was closed, but I chose to not eat dinner over...
Read moreI worked here and managed both stores in the evening time. I left because of health reasons, and kinda miss a few employees. Can't say much about the DM 😕😕. I liked this job at first and then noticed I was being overloaded with work the day time didn't complete. Went out to have a stint put in and was pressed to come back quickly. The job is cool, but stressful because employees as well as management have no concept of team work. Sucks because I wanted to stay but couldn't because of the stress and gossip. Stay away from Einstein and Garbanzo. The service was going down when I left, and the attitudes that a good many of the women have is unbecoming of the food service industry. I read the reviews and noticed my name on many posts. Let's just say that for my short time there, I made a great impression for the company, and customers that came bye. I liked the job, didn't like a lot of the employees, and the DM sucks at hiring people. Too many problems and excessively high turnover. Shout out to the outstanding ladies and man that still are there.. Sherriona, Charlene, Ashtin, Mr. Stanley, T'Kiyah, and JJ. These few that I mentioned are the ones that made it possible for me to enjoy...
