I'd been wandering around looking for something that sounded good and overheard someone else mention how good this place was and that they go out of their way to stop here every time they're here. I asked where it was, and I lucked out. This definitely seemed like one of the best options in Concourse C. There's a great variety for a very reasonable price (exceptionally reasonable for an airport). They had so many delicious looking options that it was hard to choose. I ended up getting the rotisserie chicken combo with a couple sides. The chicken was pretty dry (only reason they got a 4), and they either don't have condiments or I just missed them. I got a side of the rice and gravy though, so eating it with that worked nicely. The gravy was delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty meal and great options for a great price.
It's in the food court, so it's shared seating. I'm going to whine about the seating only in hopes that someone in airport design finally comes to their senses, but I didn't factor this into my rating of the restaurant itself except for the "atmosphere." It's yet another public area that kind of leaves you wondering if the people designing it have been to an airport before. Or outside at all. They somehow managed to have a bunch of wasted seating while people were also trying to find somewhere to sit. Considering the average group size of the majority of people in the airport (1-2), having mostly full-sized tables designed for 4 people leads to a lot of wasted space. So one side of the food court seating is like being a smelly kid in elementary school. You walk into the cafeteria, and there are technically lots of empty seats, but no one wants you to sit at their table. They did try to maximize seating in other areas by adding bizarre rows of individual chairs on the wall between tables...but not with a table. The charging counters a few feet away with individual seats were mostly full. Had they taken that same concept and flipped all the single chairs around with at least some counter space, they could comfortably accommodate a lot more people who could actually eat. You know what's not very practical or enjoyable? Sitting awkwardly in a chair between two tables of other people eating, trying to eat rotisserie chicken and rice with no table to put the...
Read moreI ordered food yesterday evening around 8:45 pm at Hartsfield Jackson Airport Concourse C. The girl who serves the food yesterday was very unfriendly and rude. I was ordering 2 meals one for me and my husband, when he walked over he said he actually wanted a different side. So I said oh ok, and I was waiting for the mac and cheese to finish so she had our plates just waiting for that. So I went back down to where she was and said “do you mind changing the greens to yams.” She rolled her eyes and looked at me and said “the greens that are already on the plate”. So that was already sarcasm, she could have politely said she can’t if that’s the case. We didn’t even touch the food yet, it was still back there with her. So I said “ yes, is that ok?” Then she rolled her eyes again and took the plate with an attitude to the trash and threw the greens away. Then started talking about me to the cook in the back saying how customers make her mad. He was just working he didn’t seem to be concerned with what she said. Then she came back added the side and gave us our food.
I was very nice to her so I’m not sure why she acted that way. She probably was having a bad day or something but she shouldn’t take it out on customers. Of course I’m not going to argue with her and cause a scene in the airport. So we just paid for our food and told her to have a good day.
She shouldn’t treat customers like we’re already tired from our fight. If you can’t change the side that’s fine but no need for an attitude. And since she can change the side, why be that upset about it. It was almost like a comedy skit that happened in real life. I hope she can get retrained to know how not to cause conflict because someone else may match her negative behavior when treated like that. Also, I hope whatever is bothering her gets better.
ON A GOOD NOTE THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!!!! They know how to cook back there in...
Read moreThere is never a long line here. I walk past your all the time as someone who is a dedicated gluten-free and celiac person. Is the food amazing here? No, but is this really good for being a gluten-free place and having almost all gluten-free products? Yes. ITS NOT THE BEST BUT ITS SOMETHING
I will say that I am a big fan of the mac and cheese. I thought that that was cooked very well. Everything has a lot of pepper on it so if that is not your thing I would not come here to eat. The cheesecake ended up tasting like it was some kind of almond flour, which is not my favorite but it was okay. The Fried Chicken was dry and needed a lot of ketchup. Overall, for airport food, can you really complain?
Out of everything and everything about this place and walking past this for years and never coming to it. I will say that I tried a lot of different things and I in fact did not get sick. I repeat that this is safe for gluten-free people. 10/10 for inclusive, thoughtfulness and having a ton of different options. I'd totally come back here again. One of the best parts, very...
