It has been over a week since we stumbled upon Zubi's after a long flight from Seattle. While I drove, my dear friend was in charge of finding a quick bite so we could get on the road to our destination.. still hours away. We thought tacos would be quick but finding quality (healthy, favorable, even made with love!) food near an airport??... seemed pretty impossible. To our great surprise... we felt like we hit the jackpot from the moment we crossed the threshold into Zubi's and was greeted with a "hey, sis."
From the sounds of it, the restaurant recently opened after success as a food truck. They are creating some excellent food here. Flavors and creativity is there. Our mouths were watering and we were over the moon with gratitude for such a nourishing and excellent find! The folks who own and serve up the goodness have a flow of generosity and kindness that had us settling right into our trip. We ended up spending over an hour here tasting all the different tacos!
AND.... just as an FYI, they are cookin' up some new flavors including burria tacos which we caught wind of from a guy sitting at the bar. They were mind blowing.
The price is right, the yummy-factor and flavors are fantastic!! They absolutely make some of the best tacos, we've ever had (including after living in Austin, TX and traveling in Mexico.)
If tacos were a blank canvas, these folks are master artists in making one-of-a-kind awesomeness. Thank you Zubi's Taco Kitchen!!! When/if we return to Atlanta, we will come visit you all again! Keep...
Read moreI’m so unbelievably disturbed. I’ve never had the experience w/ food that I’ve had w/ this place. I was almost at the end of my meal when something felt really weird. I spit it out and it was somebody’s NAIL. A whole chipped nail!I ofcourse was set to bring back what I found to the store and when dialing the number at first kept getting this weird Google automated prompt. I eventually spoke to the owner(s) and was told they were closed in addition to them personally preparing the food and everyone wears gloves. Then that it must’ve been one of their vendors and I should bring it when they’re open for them to see. He also stated he would check the cameras but to their knowledge no one has red nails within their store either. Like it just doesn’t make sense to me. If you personally prep it somebody noticed but didn’t care. And if the person has almond nails as displayed that can easily tear through gloves. Which is why ppl who handle food are required to have short nails as well. Was it in the corn then? There were two individuals that kept in contact w/ me and at one point one of them stated ,”What do you want?” To which I retorted, “To not serve ppl contaminated food?!” As someone with a weaker immune system and we’re in a pandemic I expected better. As well as how much you pay. The receipt isn’t even correct, just the amount.I had some sort jerk chicken meal(I think it was called a Zubi) At the end of it all they refunded me. Never again, just hope I...
Read moreI've been trying to reach this place for weeks. I drove by today and saw that they were open so I dropped in. The rep asked me was it my 1st time which it was so he went over the menu options with me after confirming if I was vegan or not. I decided on the zubi, west side, and dos tres which was 3 for $12 and $4 for the street corn. The food looks vibrant and full of colors. Everything was delicious and did not lack flavor. My only issue was that the tacos and corn were both cold. I hate cold food, however the flavor still made this meal enjoyable. I would love to give them another try. The reps were very nice so I'm sure they would be open to my request. Thanks guys! Update: I finally made it back and tried the vegan tacos. There was a bit of a wait. I happened to come during a congested time and only the owner working. This time I warmed my food when I got back to work just in case. I honestly loved the imposter tacos with the impossible meat. Not so much the cauli park. Something about the texture for me. However the flavor were still on point for both tacos. My street corn was everything. The owner is always super nice so I'm gonna up my review to 5 stars. I...
