I am staying in the area off and on and have went here 3 times on night shift and everything was perfect. Went this afternoon with my partner and sit waiting for 15 minutes, as they served to-go customers, but we were just ignored while the staff sat in the office laughing and giggling. The cook apologized for the wait but couldn't he have at least gave us drinks? When the server finally comes over she seems rushed and says "What do you want?" Then she corrects her rude greeting and says "What would you like to drink?" We order our drinks and she tries to rush me right into ordering food. I like to get my drink and relax first before ordering. A restaurant turns me off pretty quickly when I feel like I'm being rushed to order, eat my meal and get out the door! Feeling rushed, I order and I have to repeat the order 3 times and then the server gets an attitude with me as if it is my fault I have to repeat my order. We left! You would think this Waffle House would have it's best people working here day and night since it's surrounded by at least 6 hotels! I love Waffle House but it's hit and miss with the Servers! Guess I will try another one! For the record I have a very simple easy order that I get everytime and I make it clear: "I would like two double Texas Bacon Patty Melts, just the sandwiches not the meal, with pickles and grilled onions... mayonnaise and Waffle House sauce on the side." I was in the service industry many years myself and tip big... but only if I'm greeted in a timely manner, get something to drink quickly and don't have to...
Read moreI went to my favorite restaurant on Virginia ave and had the worst experience. The customer service sucks. WHAT REALLY was the problem there wasnt No Team Work. Employees saying in front of customers no i not working over there im over here which was crazy. A waiter new to store came and Said I'll take you guys order with a smile. There after the lady inspector came in upon waiting for FOOD grits cold pork chop hard eggs cold hash brown with raw onions. A waiter who say she have OCD walking around with no hair net hair just swinging her braid all over the place in front of the inspector all other employees had on hair nets. And the nice waiter whom waited on me and my pregnant daughter and nicely advised they was new cooks all three which is not justified but ok burning chop and cold grits and eggs because it sat there and didnt call out pick up. Very Unsatified with my favorite waffle house. Prayfully they will do more TEAM WORK that was missing. Today every body for themselves talking nicer to each other talking smart. Whats was shocking there was a supervisor there that didnt emphasizes lets do TEAM WORK you guys the inspector is here. He didnt try to help when an inspector enter everything should have been done from the beginning. Read moreThe Resturant was closed down for a limited time when I stopped in for breakfast. It was not apparent for a few reasons. However, since I had traveled through the day and evening prior I was tired and my energy level was low. This caused me to accept the delay in fulfilling my order which was placed online from the parking lot. I relied solely on the basis that I was able to successfully place my online order despite the constant flow of customers that were walking up and the turning away. Now, I have visited Waffle House establishments in Atlanta before and sometimes they will not allow customers to dine within but they can place orders for pickup. I thought this may be the case while other customers walked up and spoke with staff then exited. Once I started to become curious and walked to the window I was greeted by an employee who had come out to pick up the parking lot. She inquired for details and acting upon the information coordinated the execution of my order. Once completed the cook (not the lady I had spoken to) was very friendly, apologized and also verified any additional needs I might have. All in all it was still a pleasant experience mostly due to the staffs willingness to support their customer. Thank you Waffle House...
