This is the first time I've ever had an issue with service. It was trash from start to finish. When I first walk in, there's a hostess desk imma on my right. I wait about 4-5 minutes. I look up and a sign pointing towards a small desk on my left about 10 ft on the left stating pick-up orders here. I stand there for a good 5 minutes. Nobody is there. Finally, a young brown haired girl shows up. I tell her I was picking up an order. She turns around, points, and says order at the bar. I tell her, no, I placed an order to pick up. She repeated, at the bar. I say okay and walk over to the bar. The young lady is fairly busy but acknowledged me pretty quickly. She gets my order. I check to make sure everything is there and there is put no napkins, no utensils no condiments. I ask her may I get napkins. She hands me a few and walks away. Meanwhile I have two large boxes of pizza. A large salad in a bag, an order of pretzel bites in another bag and an order of wings. I walk back to the pick up table. I wait while the young lady is at the hostess desk. She sees me but stays where she is. I walk over and ask for utensils. She points to a small basket behind her and she watches me picking up some so I only take 3 because she's counting. I'm extremely annoyed at this point. I walk back to the pick table, walk around where there's utensils, paper plates, napkins, parmesean cheese and plastic to go bags. I take some of each, put them in a bag and walk out. I went specifically to that location because it's conveniently 5 minutes from the airport and I was headed to pick up family. Its also appx 15 minutes to my house. First and last time here. I'll stick with Peachtree City location. Service there is always great.

To preface, this is a restaurant we frequent and spend hundreds in throughout the year. We generally dine in. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh and hot. This past Sunday, we ordered a pizza for pickup. We arrived at the designated time and were presented the pizza for our inspection by opening the box lid. All looked fine and we left. Upon arriving home the pizza was cold, so we put it in the oven. After 15 minutes we plated the pizza for our dinner. The veggies were not cooked and when we got to the crust, it was raw in the center. Disgusted, I called the store to convey my experience. The woman who answered the phone responded by asking me if I had inspected the pizza prior to leaving. I said the pizza looked fine and a brief inspection would not have revealed the raw dough. She referred me to the manager who congratulated me on being proactive by reheating the pizza! He then suggested that I should have inspected the outer edges of the crust and requested pictures. When I suggested that he was unhelpful, he informed me that he was just investigating the situation. There was never an apology, never an offer to make things right. He was doubting the credibility of a frequent customer over a $20 pizza. Unbelievable!

Usually Mellow Mushrooms are a great place to hang out and maybe I just caught this one on an off day, but not a very good visit. I sat down at the bar and not a single server acknowledged me. They were busy but the restaurant wasn't even full. People around me were leaving because it was taking over 90 mintues for a salad and pizza to show up. I kept waiting because everyone looked so busy but I finally realized I just had to get their attention. So after about 10 minutes I asked for a drink and a menu, which they just put in front of me and walked away, not a single word like "let me know when you're ready" or anything of the sort. Pizza was delicious and great beer selection but horrible service. I tried to figure out why everyone was so panicked and overloaded but couldn't find a cause. They need some retaining and better organization of their staff. It was nearly empty by the time I left and people were still running around like there were hundreds of customers lined up out the door or something.

The food was great. The Management and service was very disappointing. I called a week ahead to arrange for my Mother’s 90th birthday party. A very important event for my family. No one ever called me back to discuss menu, etc. I called back no one knew what I was talking about. I went over everything again. My Mother and I arrived a little early. The management had no idea about my event. There were people sitting in the area I was told would be blocked off for my event. After a few discussions the set up was done. There was a table of people in the area where we were settng up. It was a few adults and some children. They were there when we arrived. They sat there after they had paid their tab and had to go boxes. I asked our Server if she could ask them to move to another table. I had people needing to sit down. They stayed at least an hour after paying their tab. I could not understand why our server could not foresee what was needed. I had to find her to get the tea and water pitchers refilled. People were eating cake with their fingers because I could not get any forks. Yet, I would turn around and the waitress would be asking me if we needed anything. I have been a waitress. I stayed on top of my customers needs. I could see what was needed without asking. I was so disappointed in the lack of communication the Managers had and with the lack of take charge attitude. I had heard the service was bad at this location. I hate it because we need a good restaurant in College Park. Also, because I have been going to Mellow Mushroom since they opened near Emory. Please get your Management trained so they can train their staff. The food is great but the restaurant will not make it with a bad service reputation. However, even with all the communication problems we did have a nice party. Our waitress had a great attitude...

So I came in here today because I had never eaten at a Mellow Mushroom before, as I walked in there was a guy at the door and I asked him did he work here and he immediately got mad and asked me do it look like he work here and I said sure you look like a person who could work here because I always thought that workers anywhere look like normal people. This guy immediately started cursing me out calling me bum bytches and all other things...I said few words and laughed because I know my pockets and bank account. Finally 2 men that did work there....and mind you, they looked like normal human beings nothing special to say oh this is a Mellow Mushroom worker....they walked up and I asked one did he work here, he said yes....so I began to talk to him and he answered my questions and told me to walk over to bar...but as I'm walking off, I heard him apologize to the guy that was cursing me out for asking did he work there and I couldn't believe my ears but walked on to the bar anyways but my mind was thinking to leave this place and not spend my money here so that's exactly what I did and went and gave my money to a different restaurant. How are you going to immediately run to the rescue and apologize to a disrespectful man that started this whole thing over being asked if he worked at a restaurant....I guess because he was a man uh.....lol....first experience with Mellow Mushroom...
