Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in College Station

I have eaten at this location since it opened. And I have always enjoyed the food and the service until today !

I went into the restaurant expecting to receive quality service and instead I was greeted by an employee who stated “ if you don’t have a mask you have to leave the restaurant it’s the law”.

I called and talked to the manager/owner of this location and he explained to me that I needed to call and bring it up with the city. And that I would not be able to enter any establishment in college station without a mask.

After leaving the restaurant I read the law or shall we say the “ordinance” put out by the governor and the ordinance from the city of college station and then called the city of college station for clarification. And I do not have to wear a mask !

I have PTSD. And because I do I have panic attacks when I cannot breathe. I explain this to the college station assistant city manager and he assured me that this would definitely fall under the “exclusion” to the mask order , both the order of college station and of the governor.

After I spoke with the city I called back and the owner would not take my call and did not call me back.

It’s too bad this owner chose to be scared about getting a fine Instead of being concerned about his customer and finding out why the customer didn’t have the mask!

And just a side note to the owner- I went to Lowe’s today without a mask and they asked me why I didn’t have one I explain to them about my PTSD and funny enough they let me in the store. And I ate with no mask add another restaurant! During this whole entire event I have supported your restaurant by eating there at least twice a week. And you proved today you care nothing about...

I am amending my review on chicken salad chick…Love their chicken salad and other items. However today when I went in to purchase some items….their customer service might have cost them a customer. I love their food and stop often to purchase things in their large containers for the family to enjoy. Today one of those items was the broccoli salad which is awesome. I asked for an 2 extra containers of the salad dressing for it…..no prob they gave me one….but would not give me a second….said policy etc…okay I get it whatever….I told them okay this is fine I will purchase another…and they would not sell it to me. I felt like the calorie or dressing police was there….what?? You will not allow me to have another extra container of the dressing even when the customer is standing there saying they will pay for it? Even Taco Bell does not do this!! So….as much as we love the broccoli salad….their no extra dressing policy even if you want to give them money for it will cost them future sales of it….as now I just wont buy anymore of it until they decide that customer knows how much dressing they need for their salad…and decide to either give it or allow it to be purchased!! I have never been told no we wont allow you to have anymore lol And do note that the container of it was a pretty large one….so to ask for extra dressing is not out of the ordinary ….I will also add….that the Chicken Salad Chick location in Flowood Ms is much more accommodating …as they are always happy to provide the dressing needed...

First of all, let me start by saying I never and I mean NEVER will rate a restraunt 5 stars coming from the background as I do. My wife and I were driving around today looking for a place to eat after a long day at work and in a mood... long story short we found y'all. We walked in and were immediately greeted very cheerfully, took a bit to figure out the route we wanted to take for what type of meals we wanted to which the cashier "unfortunately not catching her name" she politely asked if we needed help as to explaining how your unique system works as we did seem confused. Well, we decided on the trio and went to pay the total being $24 something and my wife accidentally handed her $60 and the damndest thing happened... the cashier handed it back!!! I'm super proud of this establishment for hiring honest, and knowledgeable employees. The food was served quickly and to our surprise it was WAY more food than we imagined.
