(Review originally written in 2020 and edited in 2025 after another bad unrelated incident at the same location) Came in with my family and asked for a Thai milk tea. The drink both tasted and looked like watered-down milk. I've had one back in a location in Houston, and it tasted normal. I talked to the lady at the counter and she apologized, I asked if I can get one remade or choose another flavor since I had already paid and the owner responded that they don't allow that and to finish the drink I was given. I told him I wasn't satisfied with the product I was given, so he went back and made a honey oolong milk tea. My sister had one, and let me try it, so I was pretty happy with the resolution at first. When I received the drink, I kid you not it smelled like someone farted in my face, and when I drank it, there was a sour milk. However, I almost immediately had a strong urge to throw up after taking a few sips. My sister was asked to taste it, but she immediately said to throw it out when she smelled it. Afterwards I was sick for several days, my sister who had originally ordered an oolong honey milk tea was perfectly fine, which led us to believe they purposely gave me a bad batch for wanting a product worth what I paid for. The worst service I have experienced and the owner himself wasn't okay with hearing...
Read moreWent to get my medically fragile child a bubble tea drink. I asked about the sugar content and the guy said they only use real fruit and said he wouldn’t add any extra sugar to ours. When I got the drink I tasted it and it’s the sweetest drink I’ve ever had in my life. I go back to the counter and tell him and he reassures me there is no sugar, just fruit. I ask to see the flavor and he refuses. I look behind the counter and there is the trash syrup sitting on the counter marked “mango” (see picture attached). I show him and he admits it’s syrup. I ask for a refund and he says they don’t do refunds since I tasted it (literally 2 sips). By now my child is crying and upset. He continues to say that the syrup has no sugar in it only fruit - which is a lie. He continued to refused to refund me and look at my small child sitting there crying and not understanding why he can’t have a Bubble tea. By the way, both bonapptea and sharetea near campus both use real fruit and allow you not to add sugar. They don’t use a trash, gas station syrup slushie like Kung Fu Tea. $7 and they don’t use quality ingredients. What a horrible,...
Read moreMy husband picked up some taro milk green tea for me. The person at the counter told my husband they were out of mini boba, then she checked and said they had enough for one more cup. He got it in my drink. While drinking it I noted that the consistency was way off, feeling squishy instead of its usual chewy consistency. Not half an hour after I finished the tea I started feeling extremely sick. I vomited a few times and still felt awful. There's no chance of it being anything else as I hadn't eaten anything else since lunch. I just discovered Kung Fu tea a few months ago and regularly bought the same drink (sometimes two in the same day! I was an addict!) and have never been sick, so it's not some kind of allergy. There was definitely something wrong with that particular boba.
I'm not sure I'll go back as the thought of boba now turns my stomach, but I really hope the manager can make sure they're trained on proper food storage and safety. I hope no one else has to go...
