My brother and I visited on a Saturday morning, grabbed two pastries and two coffees. Both coffees were an espresso based drink, one iced latte and one iced americano. I'm not an expert in any way in coffee, just a regular guy, making coffee at home. No experience in tasting, or making. But I can tell the difference between light vs dark, Ethiopian vs Columbian, etc.
Coffee: The espresso was a lighter roast than the usual variety you find at Starbucks or some other shops. I don't know if this is the usual beans they use, but the coffee had some sour notes up front with a darker notes at the end. I wanted lactose free milk, but they didn't have that option. They had the usual soy, whole, skim, oat, and etc. Lactose free is cow milk, except the lactose has been taken out. Not a big deal since my lactose intolerance isn't too severe, I ended up getting the whole milk with my latte. Since the roast is light for the espresso, the sour notes still come through in the latte. Not my favorite for a latte, but favorite for many others out there.
Pastries: We tried two pastries: Apple and Cream Cheese pie, and Chocolate Mayan. The puff pastry is flaky and buttery on the pie, and the chocolate Mayan was a delightfully dense bread/roll with layers of chocolate. I only had a bite, so I couldn't quite tell if the chocolate was Nutella or a something of their own creation. Perfect combination with a cup of coffee, but likely better paired with a non-sweet coffee.
Final Verdict: I would bring my own coffee since the beans weren't exactly to my liking, but that's not a negative in any way. Coffee can be very personal. The two pastries we tried were very good, and we would love to come back and grab some...
Read moreI am highly disappointed in the way the owner had handled a poor situation due to a mistake of an employee. My sister had been looking forward to getting us these sweet pastries from this bakery and raved about how delicious they are. My entire family was looking forward to it this Thanksgiving. Regardless, the bakery made a mistake and gave her the wrong order. She went back in to let the man at the register know (he happened to be the owner) and instead of trying to remedy the situation he scolded her. He said he couldn’t do anything about the situation and proceeded to approach the problem and her with anger. Not only did this make her feel uncomfortable but he made her feel as if she was at fault for the mishap.
I can assure you she would call in almost every day to see if they had made any of their Sweet Mayan Cream Cheese pastries that day. She would often be told they don’t make them everyday so she was really excited to have placed an order for Thanksgiving for all of us to finally try. So after their employee made the mistake of placing an order for a dozen pastries without the cream cheese, my sister went in to let them know of the mistake. Instead of being helped or even had apologized for the mishap the owner treated her so distasteful. Now, my family and I won’t look forward to ever enjoying a pastry from this establishment. Terrible ownership.

Read moreAmazing experience! The cafe is so quaint and friendly. The staff is welcoming, accommodating, and over-all very sweet. There is a limit of 5 customers at a time but there are tables outside to sit and enjoy your drink and food. Speaking of which, the food is phenomenal! The sandwiches are always warm, tasty, and made to order! The coffee choices are endless and you can customize most drinks like adding a flavor pump or substituting your milk. Also, the staff wears masks at all times (from what I can tell) and they encourage social distancing. The only downsides are that 1; the wait is a bit long and 2; there are no public bathrooms. However, please take these "downsides" with a grain of salt and understanding because there is a global pandemic right now and know that every item is made to order. In conclusion, this cafe is very comfortable, warm, and welcoming. I encourage you to visit because it's so lovely and the food and drinks...
