Mai Shan Yun — Restaurant in College Station

This restaurant has posted misleading timings (Hours) on Google. When I visited earlier, their employee at their front desk too had earlier claimed they remain open till 11pm on weekdays. The restaurant menu and pamphlets also clearly state the 11pm closing time. But when I took a long walk to arrive at the restaurant around 10:30 pm on Friday night, I was informed that the "kitchen was already closed". The manager was unprofessional enough to tell me that the 11pm time given on Google and on their menu means that customers can "stay inside the restaurant till 11pm", like I didn't know any better. They wasted my time and as a result of going to their restaurant, I nearly also missed out on being able to eat at another restaurant nearby which closes at 11pm. The food was pretty good! I highly recommend the original golden fried chicken or the special fried chicken (if you want an extra kick in the sauce). Their ramen is great as well. Service-wise….the servers need better training. It seemed like they opened this place up too early. A lot of their employees looked lost in what to do. We didn’t get our order of fried chicken until the very end of our meal. We had to remind them constantly and they said they were working on it. Then, they said somehow our order of chicken got kicked off our entire order? Overall, food is decent but employees lack training...

Wished I took a pic of the food, but it was super yummy. Ordered a beef and a chicken ramen to go for me and my partner, as well as a couple different sides of fried chicken and it was all really good!! Even to go, it was really good (they separated the stuff for the ramen from the broth so that it wouldn't get soggy and it stayed hot for a long time, so really good quality packaging too) and I hope to come back and eat in soon!
