Mi Familia Coco Loco — Restaurant in College Station

This review is for the buffet, not for the menu option The restaurant and the bathroom where clean. The food smelled very good and the whole environment felt friendly and convenient. However: 1: The items at the buffet section didn't have names or tags. You wouldn't know if the meet was beef or pork, or what the food would be called. We chose the buffet option to get familiar with the food and we weren't able to realize what each item was called. 2: The the trays would stay empty for long times before they refilled them. This happened twice during our visit. For one item we let them know that we were waiting for one item, and they finally didn't fill it and we had to leave the restaurant. 3: One of the ladies (waitresses) asked us twice if "we were STILL doing ok" and we weren't there for a long time. 4: There was no indicators about how spicy each item was. This caused some of our choices being thrown away, because we unsuspectingly chose items that were too...

The lady who took my order was short with me, then when she brought me my food, tgere was not a hello, just a hear and told me the amount. I asked her if there was mild salsa in the bag she answered before I fully finished my sentence and said everything was in there and walked away. No smile, no welcoming attitude. The ham and egg taco were greasy in and on outside of the tortilla. It had so much oil on the foil and my hands. The other taco i did not eat it was a chicharron taco, no flavor. I will not go again. I might have tried other foods, but the service was the deal breaker for me. It has to be 💯 every time you deal with customers. A simple smile and hello and thank you goes a long time. Obviously this isn’t my first review. Sometimes I am motivated by selfish and irrational ideas. Even though the rational side of me says my obsession with something will not be shared, much less agreed on. I am glad when a product I love is relegated to a loud Ho-hum and large copious amounts of it are never in short supply, or that my secret place where I eat it will not be crowded and leave me without a seat. Well here at Mi Cocina Coco Loco I have discovered a wonder sauce. That spaghetti and meat sauce at home a little bland? A few tablespoons of Coco loco’s green sauce and it becomes a culinary delight. Pour it on Potatoes, eggs, beef, chicken and you’re the envy of a Paris Chef.
