Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in College Station

First Time! Shipleys was recommended. Once the construction is done it should be easier to access because for someone that is not familiar with the area it was a hassle! Made it to try these donuts and boy were the fresh!! They did in fact taste as if there were loved lol being made. We ordered an original glazed and there version of an “old fashion” which were delicious! Now me, I love apple fritters and I’m sorry to say but this Apple fritter was Not it! The donut itself was great but if you are making something homemade and or fresh why cut corners on parts of it. This particular apple fritter was not made with apples or made with apples in it but stuffed with an imitation apple filing. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I knew it had a filling. Now I don’t know about anyone else but this attempt of an apple filing was Gross and Overwhelming a lot, I ended up digging the inside out and trashing it. Overall 4 stars because of the donuts in general but that’s it! Would recommend just wouldn’t recommend the fritter. Overall good and will be back....

I absolutely need to give the biggest brag to Shipleys on greens prairie. I had called early this morning to inquire about getting 2 dozen chocolate sprinkle donuts for my 10 year old’s class birthday celebration today. I didn’t want to get the donuts too early but didn’t want them sold out either. It was a slow morning at the time of my call and it wasn’t a concern if they’d have enough later in the morning. They said I could order in the app to have it done and ready but I forgot and just went by. The drive thru was long. And I have no thought of the pre-order option. But when I got to the window let me TELL YOU!! I mentioned I called about 2 doz choc sprinkle donuts but I let them know I did not preorder. And YOU KNOW WHAT?! THEY HAD BOXED UP THE 2 doz when they realized business picked up and they might be sold out when I came. YALL. THIS IS WHAT A BUSINESS should be like. This meant the world to Me that they thought of met order despite not giving a time or preorder. Thank you shipleys for 10...

Really hate to leave this review but I can’t take it anymore. First, Shipley’s has the best doughnuts anywhere, and I have been going to this location for years, but I don’t / can’t recommend this location anymore. The guy working the inside counter always seems irritated when I place an order, and the girl working the window is as unpleasant as possible. Further, when I use the drive through, they get my order wrong most of the time; not to mention the fact that the drive through line is always incredibly long and not worth the wait. [However, the guy working the drive through (outside), taking orders on his cell phone, is an A+ human being; he is the ONLY person that makes this Shipley’s tolerable. Unfortunately you still have to deal with everyone else, and it’s unbearable.] While I will probably still use this location, as it’s the only one around and it wins by default, I can’t tell anyone else that it...
