The Angry Elephant — Restaurant in College Station

If you're worried that this is some political bar where your great uncle will best you over there head with the latest this that and the other from the current administration or the former one. Stop being a hipster and go! Great beer, huge liquor selection, plenty of specials... And, the, DOGS! The hot dogs are great, all beef (that you can really taste) and plenty filing. Lots of different options. If you've had a chance to have a Chicago dog in Chicago stay away from the Nobama you'll be disappointed, but that's the only criticism. In general they are all great. Other food is good as well and you can't miss the home made chips. This place is more like a bar and less like a grill but they get their food right too so it's a win win. Plenty of TVs with different sports and they are willing to look for a game that suits you. (Sometimes they went have a channel that works for you but at least they are willing to try)!

Don't mistake The Angry Elephant College Station for a politics-themed bar. It's just another bar. The politics is only decoration. And that's fine, if you're looking for any bar like a hundred others around town.

During presidential debates they will begrudgingly put it on one TV, on mute, if you ask them, with ChiveTV and golf on all the other screens. They say they'll turn the sound up if more people show up to watch, but why the hell would anyone show up to watch if the place doesn't plan to or promote showing it like they post about sports events? And if anyone did show up, mistaking The Angry Elephant for a real politics-themed bar, they'd see the debate on mute, leave and not come back.

Also during Happy Hour they charged me the full price of $6 for a well whiskey sour, which seems a little crooked. I asked the bartender about it and he said there was no mistake. Maybe that buck was worth this review.

I work by here and have heard great things. So I decided to go and try this pasta. Well my first time getting it I loved it. A little spicy, but very flavorful. That’s why I gave the 2 stars. After going back for the 2nd time. I don’t know if I’ll be back. My order wasn’t made how I asked. Nor did the food taste the same. When calling I was met with a voicemail. The voicemail was never returned. So I went up there on my next day of work this is two days later and explained what happened. The cook informed me he remembers me. That he made it right, but immediately offered a refund. I said all I want is the food made how I ordered it. Well I got my new order and let’s just say I’m still disappointed. Yes the taste is back. However I still only received around 6 pieces of sausage, a solid piece of chicken, and a few cut pieces. Service seems good the higher up you go, but the workers and cook seem like fast talkers and not...
