My boyfriend and I went hoping to get some crawfish, we ordered spicy crazy Cajun and it was pretty flavorless. I had gone up to the counter to ask for some Cajun seasoning in a little container to try to aid and was kind of disregarded by all the staff standing there and when I had told them what I needed they kind of blew me off but I just let that go. The Cajun seasoning kind of helped but not much and we decided that the crawfish here just wasn’t for us. When it came time to pay we used the QR code provided on the condiment box on our table and assumed we were good on payment so we got up to leave. As we are walking out our server come over and yells at us “hey so are we gonna pay?!?” We walked over and said yes we paid on the box and she rudely said “that’s not the right box for your table” as if we the customers were supposed to know that. She took us inside to refund the transaction we paid for and had us pay again for our food even though it was only a $7 difference and told us that I won’t get the money back for 3-5 business days. So I’m sitting here pretty disappointed and out $148 instead of the $74+tip it should have been. I contemplated not even leaving a tip but clearly our server needs the money or was having a pretty rough day to speak to customers like that. Safe to say we won’t be coming back...
Read moreFrom 3 years ago: We actually didn’t actually get to eat there today due to their system crashing. The 5 stars are because they normally are delicious and the woman that was up front apologizing to customers that were in there and people coming in was extremely professional. Unfortunately as I walked in she was facing a gentleman that just couldn’t understand why they were closing. He began berating her and basically told her that they should have a sly stem in place for such issues. He then threw in that he owns 7 restaurants and they all have things in place to handle that. Now look while his solution was reasonable, his delivery was less than desirable. They understand what an inconvenience it is and you could tell they took no pleasure In having to turn anyone away. Also as an owner he should understand that being talked down to and reprimanded by a customer, on top of having to deliver the bad news is extremely disheartening. It’s not like there aren’t 800 other places to go eat for lunch. They were taking preventative measures in case they couldn’t get it back up and wanted to make sure the customers were aware. I know it sucks to get your kids and car seats out, trust me I had one too, but that doesn’t give you a pass to treat people poorly. The manager (I’m assuming) handles the guy...
Read moreMy elderly mom who has dementia/Alzheimer's is in an assisted living facility in College Station, and each week I take her to Willie's to get her favorite- fried shrimp and a beer with an ice cold mug. (very important!) My mom is also hard of hearing, and the servers at Willie's have always been very understanding of our situation. Last week a particular server, Kristopher Jones, really stood out. From the moment he walked up to our table, he was the kindest and most patient server we've ever had. I explained our situation, and he went right to work. He said, "No worries! I got you!" He brought out my mom's ice cold mug immediately. No waiting at all! Every time she asked about our food or dessert (which was every time he came to the table) he always answered her clearly and with a smile on his face. SOOOOOO polite! SO understanding. I can't tell you what it means to me to have that understanding for my mom. Thank you, Willie's! And thank you, Kris! Your positive attitude and patience makes all the difference! OH! And did I mention Willie's has never, not once, let us down on the food!? Just a great place! There are many food options in CSTAT. I choose Willie's every time for all of the...
