Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Colleyville

How do 4 small scoops of ice cream (1 in a tiny cup and the other 3 in a regular size waffle cone) cost nearly $18? Blue Bell cost way less, allowing that I must scoop it myself.

The woman behind the counter had her back to us from the moment we walked in, could not figure what she kept looking at on the wall for so long. Finally we spoke out to get her attention, a couple of minutes had elapsed, but she was not turning around, we were kind of concerned for her well-being. Still she paused a while before turning around to face us. I don't know, maybe she was totally rocking to the really loud music playing in the store? We placed our order, and she started working on it. My wife and I both feel she deliberately made the scoops small, like really, really small. She kept rolling them until they were actually smaller than when she started! She never asks us about mix-ins, which we thought was the whole concept behind Cold Stone. My wife asks for some sprinkles, the woman added the tiniest partial spoonful. My wife meekly asks for some more sprinkles. The woman complied by adding the rest of the original spoonful. We paid our ridiculous price, said thank you, and left. The store could use some new help with better training and some cleaning around the counter base. Cannot recommend this store and will not be going back. This is an actual, true experience from Monday, 5/6/2024 at 8.18PM. I kid...

Buyer beware if you order delivery from this store. We ordered ice cream on the app and it confirmed delivery by a specific time.

We were a little surprised to receive a notification that the order was actually being picked up by Door Dash.

Turns out even though you order on the Cold Stone app they hand off the delivery to Door Dash. So we started tracking the order. 30 minutes after it had already been picked up, the delivery person passed our street, and apparently was headed to get other orders. So obviously our ice cream was melting.

Called and spoke with Adam at the store. He said no problem, he will get the order cancelled and refunded. Just head ip to the store and we will make the order for you.

So we headed up to the store. Once we got there (after well over an hour) the delivery person messages and tells us he is 7 minutes away. At this point, Adam informed us that since the order is being delivered, they can’t refund us for the melted ice cream or provide replacements

So to recap….they took no responsibility for the delivery of our order, the ice cream was completely melted, they told us to come to the store and pick up the order, then wouldn’t actually do it.

Then got home to melted ice cream on our doorstep. Fun stuff.

Definitely an extremely disappointing experience and very poor customer service for...

I highly recommend this place. This was our first time at this location and we had a great experience. I love cold stone as it is but my husband rarely goes. All of the staff there greeted us and was very friendly. They worked well together as a team as well. I got the same thing I always get and so did our son. My husband thought he wanted one of the signature flavors but once he got it, he wasn’t a fan of that particular flavor. He said that he didn’t like it and asked if he could get something else instead. Without hesitation, the manager Jesus, was extremely friendly, understanding and playful with his response. He allowed him to not only change it to something he likes but also allowed us to keep the ice cream to give to my son later. I will continue coming back for their amazing customer service and great experience we had because of this....
