This is an older restaurant. They were busy with to-go orders. My husband and I were meeting another couple for dinner. We were seated shortly after arriving. The area we were seated was narrow. The chairs could use some reconditioning as they sank when you sit. There was much conversation about the menu as there was multiple versions to view online. It was discovered that the menu was the shortest one pictured online without the fried mushroom appetizer. Our waitresses brought hush puppies that were in the shape rings and looked a lot like onion rings to the table and then asked our dirnk order. She did not seem to be thrilled to be there. The hush puppies were served with a butter spread and they were excellent. Our table order the broiled seafood platter(substituting the oysters with double scallops)with fried okra and sweet potato, 6oz. cheese burger with fries and apple sauce, fried shrimp (12) with baked potato and apple sauce, and the large fried oysters plate with fried okra and coleslaw. We were asked what sauces were needed so they would be at the table prior to the foods arrival. Our waitresses brought back the cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and ketchup with another plate of hush puppies and then never came back to check on us. A food runner brought out half of the order for the table with some items missing. She did refill the drinks for the table. The rest of the food for the table arrived about 10 to 15 minutes later with a side item missing. We asked for the missing items that were ordered. We received them about 5 minutes later. The fried shrimp, baked potato, cheese burger, french fries, and fried okra were done well. The fried oysters were fried well but were very small. The broiled food was in general overcooked with the exception of the scallops that had no sear and very little seasoning. The apple sauce and coleslaw were not good at all. Our waitresses did reappear and just dropped off the check. Never asked about dessert or anything else. We paid our bills and left to never...

I'd give an infinite amount of negative stars if I could.
While I understand, seating has to be limited but I HATE being seated at a booth. I let that be known. Yet, still seated at a booth. Staff really needs to listen rather than doing whatever they want.
The prices have escalated. You can no longer double up on the selections in create your own platter. Many of the meals have increased by $10+.
After waiting 30 minutes to be seated at a booth that I didn't want and another 20 minutes for a waiter to come to then be told that I can't choose what I want on a platter.
Eat here at your own risk. I no longer recommend them.
Looks can be deceiving. Now what does that mean? When I arrived, I honestly thought I was at the wrong place. While this place looks like a dump, the food was good. The portions are large. The place was packed for lunchtime on a Wednesday. People were constantly coming and going. This was my first time here. I’ve seen and heard the commercials. Coworkers have mentioned how great this place is and they’re all right. They offer happy hour. There’s a specific menu just for lunch. I wish they had a website online for people to see what they have to offer. It appears to be a small mom and pop restaurant. They do offer a 10% discount to military and veterans. Best of all, the servers...
Read moreFOOD POISONING WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! I dined here on 12/03/2024 with my husband and mother and the food was beyond disgusting. The scallops were so tough I could barely cut them with a knife and, much to my dismay, the two that I did manage to choke down made me violently ill by the time I got home. Furthermore, the frog legs were undercooked, and the oysters were 30 seconds from being burnt to a crisp. I called the restaurant, asked for the owner, Brenda, and was then put on hold. After nearly 15 minutes of waiting, I asked my husband to call. He told the person who answered the phone that I was still waiting on the other line, and they responded by saying, "Brenda doesn't know your wife and so she's not coming to the phone," and hung up on him. This made me livid. I hung up and called back and insisted on speaking to Brenda. She finally came to the phone and asked me what my problem was. I explained our experience in great detail and she told me, and I quote, "Unless you go to the emergency room and get a stool sample to prove our food made you sick, I'm not giving you a refund." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Save your money, and stomachs, and...
