This place opened 9 days ago. The owners came from Aspen. The area is very clean and really stylish with contemporary form of historic art. The inside is very unique! The presentation of their silverware on tables felt like we were in a “fancy restaurant”. They all welcomed us and we had immediate service. The menu was broad which is amazing because my whole family wanted something different. They had sushi, dim sum, wok dishes and variety of other related dishes. We had the salt and pepper calamari, gyoza pork, pork soup dumplings, teriyaki salmon, glazed walnut shrimp, curry fried rice with chicken, butterfly kisses, jalapeño cream cheese tempura roll, spicy duck noodle soup, crème brûlée cheesecake and Thai iced tea. Let me just say everything was so delicious and each dish was presented so beautifully. I will be coming back. I hope that this place shows well. We’ve been on the hunt for the perfect sushi spot in North Colorado Springs for years and we finally found it at Akarui Sushi! We’ve been regulars for over a year now, visiting 1–2 times a month (and honestly, I wish we could go more!). Every time we come, we’re blown away by the consistently high quality of the food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the fast, friendly service at this family owned restaurant!

The sushi is top-tier super fresh, creative and beautifully prepared. You can tell they take pride in the presentation and chosen ingredients. The dumplings are absolutely delish! Flavorful, and definitely a must-order every time. We always find ourselves eyeing other dishes too as they are delivered to other tables. Everything looks incredible, and the menu has so much variety that we’re excited to try more each visit.
