I have really mixed feelings about this place. The burgers and fries and onion rings really are all very good. I love the decor of old license plates and rock n roll memorabilia, the music is pretty much my era and not too loud. I feel like I should really love the place because I love a great burger and a beer, but I've been twice now and just feel, meh. It's some of the atmosphere and staff that put me off. Last time we were there we were made to wait 15 minutes though I counted 6 open tables. Only 1 was taken by a pre-booking, so it kinda seemed petty to make us just stand there while the hostess tidied up the menus. There was a dog in the dining room the first time we went and I do not believe dogs belong in a restaurant. I love that people love their dogs, but it is a health code violation and it really puts me off a place. That is what patios are for. The cleanliness of the dining room is a big issue for me. They clean a table by sweeping everything (crumbs, straw wrappers, bits of food, EVERYTHING) onto the floor, and give the table a quick, damp cloth wipe. I frequently saw plenty of crumbs still left behind, and my table had dried condiments on it that I scraped off myself. I don't like to have cleaner sprayed nearby, so I appreciate the damp cloth approach, but there is little to no attention to detail and the result is sloppy and unclean. Because of that "technique ", the floor is always quite filthy and that really puts me off. Does anyone use those little sweepers anymore? The un-powered little brushes on rollers that picks up crumbs without having to vacuum? They really need to employ those a LOT. There weren't any paper towels in the women's restroom, and a man came back with t.p. stuck on his shoe that came off on the floor & multiple employees just walked around it like it didn't exist. Nasty. If you like good burgers this will most certainly tick your boxes, but I really don't think I'll go back because of the overall lack of cleanliness. Some of the staff seemed to work harder and with more care and attention than others, and the whole place would benefit from additional staff training. We were sat by the kitchen last time and there was a lot of food sat waiting under lamps and getting soggy for far too long. I wish/hope they can clean up their act a bit, the burgers...
Read moreInitially, I gave this place a positive review, but after visiting it for the first time in person, I no longer feel the same way. I paid a visit to celebrate anniversary. It was Saturday afternoon and the place was fairly busy but not super-crowded. There was no way to reserve a table ahead of time, so we had to get in the line inside and wait for roughly 20 minutes for a message that our table was ready. I’m heavily pregnant and I thought about asking for accommodation ahead of time but the place looked like I could seat anywhere, so I just waited for my turn. We were taken to the very back of the restaurant, with rough metal benches with heavily sloped seating instead of chairs which made it very hard for me to seat down and stand up. I asked if I can get a more comfortable/softer seat because it’s painful to seat there and was refused. There were empty booths in the main area but we were told that they are “first come-first served” and that someone will be seated eventually which made no sense because there were plenty of people to be seated. I guess they didn’t know the secret code, much like myself, so the booths remained empty and I was told I have no other choice. I would have been happy with a padded stool but I didn’t get even that. Typically, I would have left, but I was so starved by the time I got seated that I didn’t want to look for another place. Our table was dirty, with used toothpicks on it. Service was nice but slow, and it took forever to get waters topped up. Food was nice but this experience completely ruined our evening. We ate quickly and left instead of staying for a while like we planned initially, and I don’t want to go back again. The other time I came for a pickup, I witnessed their staff ignored a person of color in favor of a Caucasian guest despite the fact that the first person came earlier, and it seems that they aren’t concerned with accommodations or quality of service. This is the only place in COS that made me feel guilty about my accommodation request and regret paying a visit. Maybe I’ll order pickup in the future because they know how to make delicious well-done burgers but I wouldn’t...
Read moreWe just moved here from NY and have been trying different cool looking food places. Today we decided to try BAD DADDYS BURGER BAR. We ordered an Emilios Chicken Sandwich, a Greek salad with chicken, and chicken wings as the appetizer. The wait was a little long. After a long while, our meals came out. Our waitress (I wish i knew her name-she was blond and very very nice) came out and apologized because something went wrong and our chicken wings order didn't get through to the kitchen for some reason. It was too late for appetizers, so I told her to cancel it. We started to eat our meals. Later on, someone from the kitchen came out and apologized again and told us that we could still have our chicken wings for FREE and we can take them home with us. We were so shocked that they did the right thing. The day before, we had another experience that was the opposite of good customer service. This brought us hope that there still is great customer service in some places. We were very appreciative. The blonde waitress told us that since we were new to the area, they wanted us to leave with a great first impression. Well, you know- people make mistakes, it's how you handle it that matters the most. They handled it very well and I know that I will always be appreciated at this burger bar. I happen to live 5 minutes away and they just gained a loyal customer. Thank you Bad Daddy! (lol) All of the food was very good. If i could make a suggestion, I would tell them that the sweet potato fries should be less salty. They tasted great but were a bit salty. Otherwise, they have good food and I highly...
