I went through the drive thru 10/31/2024. I ordered the fish and chicken meal, and while in the drive-thru, I made sure to count my money again 10 ones and the extra on my debit card. The person said his name Joe and seemed nice. Once I got to the window, I pulled out my 10 ones again, counted in front of him, and said 10 ones and the rest on my card, he said, okay. While waiting I looked on Captain D's app to see how I can count those Rewards and I was curious on my card because how he was counting the ones he counted like four and then through it all in the register. So I checked my debit account and realized he put $8 on my card. So I was wondering what happened to the $4.00 in cash. Finally, I got his attention and said I gave you 10 ones and said the other three something on credit. Joe then said no, you only gave me six ones. I said to him no I knew how much I had because I counted in front of you 10 ones." Don't you remember before me handing it to you he goes no you gave me 6 ones. I said, "Then you need to count your registered drawer to see if it's $4 over he said to me he couldn't do that as a manager wasn't there. I said to him then cancel this order he said no he couldn't do that because the manager wasn't there. He starts handing me my order. I'm like, wait, I want my $4 or cancel this order. He said well the manager could be here in 5 minutes to an hour or longer. No one here can help you." So, no manager is on duty to do this. I asked him what the district manager's number was, and the corporate number. I can't give that to you, which Joe said. So I waited for an hour and longer to get the manager and guess what the registered drawer was $4 over. As Joe reminded me several times, he knew how to count his money. I don't think so! It's a great place just avoid Joe. He likes to argue and tell you he's not arguing with you and tries to belittle you as like you have no education. Personally, I don't think he has...
Read moreWe came as a family and had a really good experience. We used to frequent this restaurant when we lived on the east coast as we had one 15 minutes away. We haven't had all around good experiences with food since moving. The food isn't bad but it's just not our expectations. I'm happy to announce that we have finally found a restaurant that we will be going back to regularly. This Captain D's establishment is roughly 2 hours from where we live but we will make the drive. We won't be able to come all the time due to the fact its a half day affair but I'm already planning the next trip. Thanks for the hot food and great customer service. Oh and thanks for the sweet tea! That's hard to find in this state!
(Edit: I love leaving reviews as I feel it helps others make decisions. I always read reviews and hence this is why I leave them. One thing I don't like is when you get the same cookie cutter response from the 'owner'. Take the time to put something personable together or don't worry about responding to my review. I don't leave the review for the company. Like I said, I leave it for others to aide in...

My two kids and I came in for my daughterâs 7th birthday and enjoyed a great dinner, as always. Afterwards, she wanted cake, so I asked if there was any kind of birthday dessert. Sam replied with the most kind, genuine, and generous response: âWe donât have anything like that, but Iâll buy her a piece of cheesecake.â I was stunned and asked if he was seriousâhe assured me he was. Not only did he buy her cheesecake, but he also started singing âHappy Birthday,â and I joined in.
The smile on my daughterâs face said it allâshe felt so special, and itâs a memory she will never forget. Sam went above and beyond in a way that shows true kindness and care for customers. Thank you, Sam, for making my daughterâs birthday unforgettable and for showing what genuine customer...
