The donuts are always AMAZING. I mean, PERFECTION.
That said, the coffee is pretty rough. Not strong, but bitter. Even sweetened plus cream, it can't cut through the bite, and I am a dark-roast person. Couldn't try the frozen blended drinks because their ice machine was down? Twice now, my daughter has tried to order the frozen coffees. The first time, they told her they couldn't make it, so we ordered hot coffee and learned that it was a rough ride. Today, the counter person took the order, took our money and then gave us hot coffees. I said, "That's supposed to be a Frozen Original Glazed Latte." She simply said, "We can't make that. Our ice machine is down." No acknowledgement of error, no offer of a refund. We were a little stunned, and we'd already waited ten minutes with a long line forming behind us, so we just took these two coffees that we paid for that nobody was about to drink. It just felt wrong. I won't be ordering anything coffee again. I was just trying to give their coffee another chance and see if their frozen lattes were decent. What a bummer.
I don't know if they're under-trained or understaffed, but we've been in there half a dozen varying times now, and every time, the staff seemed overwhelmed and confused, looking a long time for buttons on the register, seemingly confused about trying to order coffee drinks from the menu. Every surface in that building was sticky, be it 3pm or 7:30p.m. with nobody sitting at tables. The floor is audibly sticky to walk on. Every inch from the door to the counter, sticky. The majority of tables are visibly smeared and crusty. It seems like there is a lot of staff on duty, and they all seem busy, but maybe they could use one more just to make sure the place is sanitary?
I mean, you really can't go wrong with the donuts. Whatever you get is going to be fantastic. Maybe stick to the drive-through, avoid the coffee and save yourself the trauma of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came with no one on line on a Tuesday am at 8am. Not busy at all only car in line. When I ask if they had almond milk I was told that they have half and half. I then try to clarify and ask them if they have any non-dairy options to which I'm told no with a snarky attitude. I then start to order 2 apple fritters and I'm told that apple fritters are only available on Friday mornings. Nothing on the sign denotes that and I know that I've been there not on a Friday with my children to pick up Krispy Kreme donuts and we've gotten fritters. Although we had received them on not a Friday. The lady that was taking our order was clearly in a bad mood and did not have time to be taking our order even though we were the only people in line. We then asked for another donut which she said that they also didn't have so then I asked her to list me the items that they did have since the first three items I had requested were unavailable. This seemed to frustrate her even more to which she then refused to review my order left me at the drive-thru box for a good 30 seconds ignoring me until I had to say hello multiple times and I was told just to drive to the front. I asked if my order was completed and I was told to drive to the front. All I can say is after an experience like that being the third time I've ever been to Krispy Kreme I'll probably be going back to Dunkin' donuts. Surprise surprise our order wasn't right either it was three donuts in a coffee. I asked for the person taking my orders name and I was told that it was Raylina. Raylina, I hope you have a better day and I hope that at some point you enjoy your day. But you need to stop taking away from other people's days and you shouldn't be in a customer service position if you're going to ignore people in a drive-thru when they clarify their order. It is the bare minimum of the job that needed to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen this place opened we were so excited! We would drive all the way to Denver to get some Kristy Kreme and weāve gone to over 10 other stores in the States. But in the last two weeks Iāve had two horrible experiences. The first time I went through the drive thru and when I was ordering (my half a dozen donuts) the lady who was taking my order verbally said āoh my godā because with frustration while I ordered because they were out all of all the mini donuts when I tried to order two of those. All I ordered was 3 glazed a chocolate with sprinkles and a strawberry with sprinkles (a darker skinned lady with really long dramatic eyelashes). And after all that my order came out wrong. I went again today (which is a Sunday), and when we got there they were out of every single donut they had except glazed. We decided just to get a halfadozen glazed. When we went to pay the girl at checkout told us that she didnāt have the change for us and tried to under all the amount of change to give me, and I had to ask her to round the change up because it wasnāt my fault they didnāt have change. While we sat there eating our donuts we saw employees walking around on their phone, laughing and joking with only one worker at watching the machines and cleaning the machines. He asked the girl that checked us out to hand him what I was assuming to be a pitcher of water so he could clean and she shoved it at him so hard I watched the water splash out at him and he had to step back. Iām SO disappointed in how this went. Itās a Sunday, there are no donuts, none of the Sunday only cinnamon rolls. We are thinking about going less and making the trip all the way to Denver if we want donuts at this point. Whoever is in charge needs to figure out what their doing and get it together. 5790 South Carefree...
