I’ve been a Louies Pizza customer since I moved here in 2000. 17 years of support for this small business. My wife started eating Louies as a Palmer freshman in 1997. I started as a single customer and now married with 3 children. My orders have gone from $10-15 to $60. My family and I usually order Louies 2-3 times a month. I’ve lived downtown for my entire time in Colorado Springs. As a note I will say we have enjoyed Louies until the last few times we ordered. Today is Super Bowl Sunday. I have the choice of many different businesses to supply us super bowl pizza and wings and I happily with the support of my family chose Louies. Simple order two large pizzas with extra cheese on both cheesy bread with extra cheese , and dyno-mite wings. I went down and picked them up in person and drove back to my home about 3 mins north. To my surprise the pizzas were just ok. Room temp with half the pie looking good and half looked just like tomato paste. The other pie the same thing. Not only no extra cheese half the pie was missing cheese?? Then I opened the cheesy bread and same thing. Missing all cheese much less the extra cheese ordered. Ordered ranch sauce and there was marinara. They even called me back to tell me they couldnt do double xtra cheese but would make sure it was cheesy. The biggest surprise was the dyno-mite wings. I’ve ordered them dozens of times and every time they are too tempature hot to eat for a while. This time I noticed the tin wasn’t hot and when I bit into a wing ice cold. Disgusting! Ice cold chicken 🤮. By now I wasn’t even hungry and my family felt the same way. The only one who was begging for this garbage was my German Shepherd. I called them and they said sorry and they would make me some more wings. I declined because I was home with fam and wanted to watch the game. I told the manager Zane this type of service is how Louies loses customers. He replied “if that’s the way you feel” Mr. Louie, I know how much you value your community and customers. I know how much hard work it takes to build a business. I’m sure my family and I would be treated differently if you would have been there. As a local business owner I know how much damage can come from the actions of a few. This is the case. This downtown team just doesn’t care. Eating a super bowl meal from the cabinets and fridge tonight. Your dissatisfied and disappointed...
Read moreThe place is disgusting. Used to be one of my favorite places to eat, gone down hill quite a bit in the past two years or so, sad to say. Everytime my Family and I have come to dine in, especially for dinner, the management has been less than stellar, always after 4-5pm, the employees act like they don’t care about their jobs or the integrity of the name that they carry. Might as well spend my money at a corporate joint, where the dining room isn’t disgusting, the managers want to be there, and the customer service isn’t absolutely horrendous. A few times we have called to place a delivery, and have placed delivery from this specific restaurant multiple times. Sometimes they will say “sorry you’re not in our delivery range.” We live like 2 1/2 miles away, at most, and have had food delivered numerous times. It’s like, if they don’t feel like doing that order or are understaffed they won’t just say so? Why just flat out lie? I have no idea who is training these newer employees, some are good for the most part, others like I said, act as though they don’t want to be there. Then why are you there? That’s my question. Sure it’s a job, it’s good, probably doesn’t pay well (the tip jar is usually always full, however) but take some pride in what you do. We have seen employees by the side of the building smoking cigarettes for 20 minutes, then come straight into the store and make our food without gloves on… Dining room as I have said, most of the chairs are either broken or almost on their way out, and have seen the floor a mess almost every single time. The customer service is abysmal, and dying. I feel very sad to say I will no longer be supporting this Louie’s Pizza, but I garuntee they don’t care. My Fiancé has gotten sick multiple times eating the “Gluten Free “ pie, which I bet anything they are using the same pans to make both gluten free and non gluten pies, and have a feeling they don’t wash them. We eat gluten free options at reputable establishments and have only had this issue at Louie’s. For the upcharge it’s absolutely immoral. Thanks...
Read moreMy body was weary, my spirit broken from the brutal 30-hour odyssey I had just made from Hong Kong. The world, a blur of endless flight delays and grim terminal halls, had left me hollow. Then, I crossed the threshold into Louie's Pizza, and the air itself seemed to vibrate with a promise. This wasn't just a restaurant; it was a sanctuary, a beacon of hope at the end of a long, dark road. My first test was the ham and pineapple pizza. The moment it was set before me, the aroma alone was a cure-all. I took a bite. The ham, a rich, savory fortress, was a burst of pure, unadulterated flavor. The pineapple wasn't merely a topping; it was a counter-offensive, its sweet, acidic power cutting through the richness with surgical precision. Each ingredient, a testament to quality, battled in a beautiful, delicious war on my tongue. But the true redemption came with the ham, jalapeño, and tomato pizza. This was an all-out assault, a symphony of intensity. The ham provided a deep, satisfying bass note, but it was the jalapeños that delivered the decisive blow. Their heat was a searing, glorious inferno, a wake-up call that banished the last vestiges of travel fatigue. The tomato, a bright, juicy shield, perfectly balanced the fiery assault. After a day of nothing but despair, this pizza was a victory. Louie's Pizza didn't just satisfy my hunger; it resurrected my soul. It was a culinary masterpiece that proved even in the darkest moments, a single, perfect bite can bring you...
