STILL one of the worst McDonalds.
I drive thru regularly; three to four times a month or more. Rarely do I see the same face twice. Turnover must be extremely high.
When I make a purchase, I want a receipt. PERIOD. I check to make sure I get what I paid for and vice versa. I HATE SURPRISES. I prefer to have my receipt at the point of payment. That way, if there is a discrepancy, it can promptly be corrected.
This McDonalds can't make up its mind which window will provide the receipts - the payment window or the pickup window: it changes WEEKLY. When it's the pickup window, they can't manage to get it right and get the receipt in the bag half the time or be bothered to hand it to you. Think I'm kidding? This week, receipts were given at the pickup window. The week before, they came from the payment window. The week before that, they were supposed to come from the pickup window. Unfortunately, they came from no window at all. This goes on and on and on. They are CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT. I wonder from which window receipts will come next week? Will Vegas give odds?
Today, when I express my frustration at the pickup window, I was basically blown off and told the receipt's in the bag & keep moving. When I spied a manager or at least what appeared to be one, I politely explained to them one of the things that customers can depend upon from McDonald's is they are CONSISTENT. A Big Mac, a fry, and a coke is the same whether if you get it in Vermont, Georgia, Michigan, Texas, Colorado or California. Receipts should be consistent too. This genius promptly told me that menus were different in California! The fact that this was an analogy on how McDonald's was CONSISTENT on everything but their receipts (particularly this location) went right through one ear and out the other. It never made a landing. They flat out didn't get it. No acknowledgement. No apology. No responsibility. All they could do was JUSTIFY, get BELLIGERENT, CONDESCENDING, and RUDE. This person apparently peaked in their career when they mastered the phrase, "Would you like fries with that?" Is it any wonder fast food is at the lower end of the employment food chain? (Pun intended.) $15.00 an hour for this? NO WAY!
Here's another. It's a small thing, but it exemplifies their inconsistency:
Half the time and that's three to four times a month minimum, there are no napkins in the bag, in spite of the fact that their commercials promote the necessity of extra napkins when ordering a Quarter Pounder. Apparently, that's either little more than an advertising gimmick or these folks were raised by wolves and don't use napkins...
If they can't get receipts right or napkins in a bag... WHAT ELSE?
Today was the last staw. Wendys,...
Read moreVery Disappointed in my once favorite Stetson Hills McDonalds location. I am still upset and shaking over what happened this morning and no I am not being melodramatic.
I was talking with my daughter on the phone while she was on her way to work. This morning she was excited that she was able to get all of her three young kids ready early and to daycare. Every parent knows how this can be a challenge. She was excited because she had time to pick up breakfast for herself and her husband to surprise him at his work. He has to be to work when we are all sleeping and not thinking of waking up.
I heard the whole interaction between my daughter and the employee as the call was going through the speakers in my daughter’s car. This woman employee had an accent. It is upsetting. I used to drive past a closer McDonalds just to go to this location. Not anymore.
At the drive thru my daughter had her code ready for when the lady asked if she was using a code. The code was given. When my daughter started placing her order she was told the code was used. My daughter said it couldn’t have been used because she just pulled it up and hadn’t placed an order yet.
My daughter noticed on the screen there was a previous order up and told the lady her code must have gone to that. The lady asked for a new code. We all know once a code has been used (or in this case given away) a customer has to wait awhile until getting a new code. The employee didn’t offer a solution. INSERT what should have happened was the employee asking my daughter what the code was for (20%) and given it to her!!
My daughter asked to speak to the manager the employee didn’t say anything. My daughter asked her if she was the manager. She didn’t answer.
My daughter then drove to the pick up line asking to speak to the manager & for the managers name when the first employee walked over. Again when asked the name of the manager no one knew . A employee told my daughter she used it on her order with three hash browns. My daughter said she never placed her order because when she tried to place it she was told her code was used. This is PROOF the code was used for the customer before my daughter.
Again they did nothing to rectify their MISTAKE or incompetence !!
I think it is time to move on and away from McDonald’s horrible customer service. Shame on how customers are treated.
The employees and manager could have given my daughter the discount anyways because they know the mistake was on their end. Everyone would have been happy. Instead my daughter, my son in law and myself started our day with a negative encounter. I’m upset at the way my daughter...
Read moreHated it isn't a strong enough phrase for how I feel about this McDonald's! Lets go back to 2 1/2 yrs ago. I was so fed up with this McDonald's that I completely stopped going. The food and service was horrible. I waited 1 1/2 years to go back and give them another chance. So 1 year ago, I went through the drive thru and ordered a Big Mac meal. I usually will try the french fries (no matter where I go) before I pull off to make sure they're hot and fresh. That's usually a good indicator how the food will be. This time, I forgot and pulled away but something kept telling me to try them and I did. Why was I surprised to find my fries lacking heat and freshness. The good me said to myself, go home and warm them up in your microwave. The bad me said go back and raise HELL. I turned around:) and went back! I walked inside and asked for the manager. I spoke with her (nicely) and said I pay good money for food and I always get crap. You feed people crap. My food isn't hot nor fresh. She apologized and said next time I'm there, let them know that she's approved a free meal. I never went back!!! So this morning, Good Morning America talked about and showed video of McDonald's distribution center (NEVER BEFORE SEEN) and how they use real beef 80-20 lean that they ground themselves. And how clean they are, blah blah blah. So I decided (FOR THE LAST TIME) to give them 1 more try. Remember, I haven't been back since Oct 2013 (one year ago). It's lunch time and they have $1 Big Macs so food should be good, hot and fresh. I sat down to eat with my special Big Mac (no onions). I bit into it and it was a Big Mac with ketchup, no pickles and yes it had onions. Why in the Hell can't this McDonald's get a simple sandwich correct? Why does this McDonald's pass out crappy food? I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS MCDONALD'S EVER AGAIN!!! They have offered me 2 Free Meals and I will never see them. Maria is the owner and someone need to let her know how HORRIBLE her McDonald's is. Maybe someone will be kind enough to forward this on to her or maybe she will read this review herself. I wish I could provide a -5 for this review. Please, get your $h1t...
