It had a nice atmosphere and the service was great. Beyond that everything else lacked the flare that should live up to a Cajun restaurants name. The five dishes that we tried, the best I can say is that the alligator bites remotely had the seasoning to qualify them as a Cajun dish beyond that the other four dishes lacked everything that would be considered Cajun. The lack of seasoning created a blandness that was hard to overcome. Even at the component level flavors were hard to discern. The andouille sausage which barely coop pass for it’s name sake given the lack of flavor was only rivaled by the flavorlessness of the shrimp that was included in the gumbo as an add in. This was an unfortunate find considering how much I truly love Cajun food and it’s flair for spice and diversity of flavor. Mama pearls, apparently left something back in the kitchen that didn’t make it to the table.

We were out of towers but like to go to restaurants that we do not have back home. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Even though she had a large table next to ours. The food was excellent especially the fried seafood. It tasted fresh and cooked just how you would like it. I had the cat fish and fried oysters. Both we very flavorful. I found the decor interesting and it went along with the New Orleans theme. We would definitely go back if we are ever in Colorado Springs.

It was a bit challenging to find but once we did it did not disappoint. The kids went crazy for the Mac n cheese. They put their own spin on the shrimp poyboy. The atmosphere is super cute and the service was better then most. I had to just edit my post. If you are from the south do not purchase a king cake from here! It is not traditional and I can’t believe we paid so much for this. A supermarket might do better 😭. I am from New Orleans- I have had many king cakes.... this ain’t it!

Strictly Boiled Crawfish Review We've been here a few times and the food is phenomenal, maybe a little overpriced but we're from Louisiana and don't mind paying the extra for the love in it. Anywho, they have crawfish on Saturdays during season and we ordered the $135 5lb crawfish, 2lb shrimp, and 1lb jumbo crab platter. The shrimp and crab legs were good, but the crawfish had 0 flavor or spice. Like nothing. Just tasted like unflavored meat. Our waitress Alex was wonderful and got the manager to come talk to us who was also the owner. I very nicely told him it was bland, and asked if he'd like to try one to just see what I mean in case it was just that batch (i don't have a high spice tolerance or anything either). He told me he knows what it tastes like its his recipe but that they don't soak the crawfish in seasoning because they don't have time to and that they want to appeal to everyone. And then they handed us 3 hot sauces and some Tony's and said see there you go thatll work. Threw me off😳 i don't think if you're selling authentic crawfish that you should intentionally make it extremely bland. My parents would smack me if they saw me putting hot sauce on my crawfish. I promise promise you'll make all your money and then some from southerners wanting legit crawfish. He did eventually come back out a bit later and put a bit more crawfish on our platter and said they should have more kick. They had a little flavor, which was workable with, but no spice. We will be back for other food, but as far as the boiled crawfish on Saturdays unless they decide to put the love into it it deserves maybe pass for the prices. Reviewing with all respect. Just want to make my fellow southerners looking for good...

6 of us went in last night for my birthday - made a reservation the day before and everything. When we arrived, we stood at the front door with not so much as an acknowledgement for 10 mins until the hostess let us know she would be back to bus a table and get us seated which took several more minutes of standing and waiting in a mostly empty space. It seemed like they were suffering from severe understaffing as there were only two people working the entire front of the restaurant. Our waiter was really delayed in greeting us, getting drinks, providing silverware when there was food on the table getting cold, etc. SUCH bad service. I ordered a cup of the shrimp and crab gumbo and was brought the chicken and sausage gumbo. I ate it and it was fine but this lack of attention to detail was really apparent throughout the evening. I asked at the end to be sure to charge accordingly since the chicken was cheaper and they ended up comp'ing that entrée which was nice. Just super underwhelming which is a shame because it hasn't always been this way. I was looking forward to impressing my parents from out of town and they just left with complaints about the...

It was our first time here and even trying southern food. When we ordered they were out of a few menu items. We had to ask twice for silverware, it was finally brought to us after we got our food. The dishes were missing items and the breading on the seafood platter was super salty and too dark. My fish came to the table completely raw (not undercooked). I just didn't bother of complaining about it a second time it came undercooked, I Just cut off the raw parts and ate it anyway. Makes me think that it was either frozen product been dropped in the fryer or the food temperatures are not being checked before they're put on the Window which is kind of scary when it comes to sea food. For the high prices being charged the food quality should be impeccable. The server was very kind and did an excellent job at customer recovery, and the environment was enjoyable. My husband is a local chef and he was very dissapointed and thought it was not worth the price for the quality of the food. I think it was ok and I guess I would be willing to give it a second try. But was...
