A mystery.
Tried Cane's for the first time. The menu is simple - chicken fingers, Texas toast, fries and soft drinks. There is nothing healthy on the menu here, but then you don't eat fried chicken if you're aiming for healthy food.
"Chicken Fingers" are in the name of this place so I'd expect them to be good - but they're just chunks of chicken in flavorless batter fried and greasy. No spices here. Someone from Cane's should run over to Chik-fil-A and see how adding something besides flour and grease makes chicken taste.
The fingers might be better with some dipping sauce but we weren't offered any and none came with our order. McDonald's understands it's chicken nuggets are flavorless and has a bunch of sauce choices. Cane's? No idea.
To Cane's credit, the flavorless, greasy chicken fingers are fairly large. If you're one to value quantity over quality, this place will make you happy.
The staff here are as friendly as the chicken is flavorful.
I should mention my dogs disagree with me about Cane's. They thought the chicken fingers were pretty damn good, although they feel the same way about spaghetti sauce dropped on the floor.
It's a mystery why Cane's is as popular as it is, especially in a town that has really good quick-dining options like Chicken Salad Chik, Cheba Hut and about a hundred locally owned Mexican...
Read moreI normally have a fantastic experience here. I’ve been a patron of this restaurant for about a year and a half, eating here at least once or twice each month (sometimes more). I order a 3 piece combo with 6 pieces of lettuce. It has never been an issue until today. At the drive thru I ordered it the same way. When I got to the window, paid and received my food, there was no lettuce so I mentioned it was missing. He asked how many pieces and I said 6. He came back and said the manager (Michael) would only allow 2. I explained to him I’ve ordered this same exact meal at this location at least 15-20 times and since I ordered it with the lettuce I would either need to receive the lettuce or a refund. I also have no problem paying extra if I need to. Finally they gave it to me, but the young men at the window were laughing because evidently my ordering lettuce with my meal is somehow comical. This whole thing was so silly and held up the line of cars behind me because he had to argue with the manager for some lettuce. Pick your battles, Michael. Or charge an extra dollar and...
Read moreI never leave reviews but… I’m annoyed.
They’re all over the place, the girl at the drive thru had no idea what she was doing and scanned my card twice before a manager came running out and they were about to scan again. I pulled up my bank app and saw one of those two attempts had already worked and SHOWED the MANAGER that it came out of my bank. He brushed it off and said it doesn’t show on their end so he sent me up to another person to swipe my card AGAIN. I get home and sure enough I was charged twice. Im a patient person, it’s not the time I spent sitting and waiting or anything like that that bothered me what bothered me was that a MANAGER brushed off a customer and overcharged me when it could’ve easily been avoided. Also, just alittle tip, maybe don’t have your employees at the window yelling at the employees outside the window, I was waiting for my food and the guy at the window yelled shut up at the employees waiting to hand me my food sooo that was the cherry on top for me. The food was good and the only reason this...
