I have been coming to this Sonic since it opened. I've lost track of how many years that is, but it has been a long time. I often get a route 44 iced tea. Until today, it has always come with lemon. I have never asked for the lemons in all the years I have been a customer here. Today, I ordered my iced tea and there were no lemons in it, so I asked for lemons. The manager told me that it doesn't come with lemons, and she'll have to charge me for the lemons. I said it has never been that way before, and she told me it has always been that way. No. It hasn't. If you're going to start charging for something you have never charged for before, exercise some good customer service and put up a notice to that effect. I don't mind paying for the lemons, but I do mind someone telling me I don't know what I'm talking about when I do. She hasn't worked at that Sonic for long. I have been a customer at it for years. Contradicting me on my past experiences there was the same as calling me stupid or a liar. Neither of those sat well with me. She did give me the lemons, but I'm still not happy with that visit. I paid over 6 dollars for an iced tea and bag of ice, so six bucks for a tea bag and a bag of frozen water. And they're going to freak out over some lemon? They had a pretty large profit already. I'm not sure if I will return to this Sonic. There is another one on 8th Street that will probably get my business now. It's not quite as convenient, but the distance from my home is about the same. Read moreSo this evening , tired after a long workday I decided to do Sonic which is on my way home so easy access. 1st off the menu does not have hamburgers on the menu, just cheeseburgers which being very sensitive to cow dairy products I found a bit limiting. I spoke to the person and asked if they could do a hamburger no cheese because I have dietary restrictions and they assured me that would not be a problem. When I went to pay, I again reaffirmed verbally that there is no cheese on this right? He promised there was not. I chose to trust the sonic worker. I get home, and guess what, cheese all over this thing. I called the sonic up to complain and he said there wasn’t cheese on there. I said so what is the sticky gooey orange stuff in between every layer then? Being too tired to go try to figure dinner out, guess it is a fasting night and I am out the price of the meal. Read morePlace is so congested at 2:30 pm that it took 20 mins of letting out stall car spots and then a car was blocking up both lanes to driveway as well as drive thru which had to wait even more time on the drive thru window cars to move up to unblock the entire parking lot area! What a nightmare just to get a beverage. And I couldnt even get one because the drive thru line moved up only one time the whole 30 mins i was on sonic property. I just wanted out. Anywhere but choked up in line any longer and having to move out of the way backing up in order to let more of the parked stall cars out. Terrible layout for traffic jamming up all due to only one car too far into another lane. Brings everything to a standstill. Even the employees were like taking their smoke breaks in back 40 because they knew the locked up parking lot would give them all break times! Poor planning on...
