Parking for Red Rock Canyon Loop — Attraction in Colorado Springs

Sometimes can be a nightmare to find parking in this area especially during the tourist season I prefer the offseason myself.. only about 20 asphalt parking spaces clay area at the beginning on the right side of parking area can be used as additional parking if available.. most visitors to the area are pretty typically friendly and obey the rules on most occasions.. watch out for paragliders while out on your hike sometimes they get stuck in trees.. 😆 always something...

Red rocks open space is one of the city's hiking treasures. You can hike for hours if you wish. It can be very busy on weekends in good weather. There are many people walking their dogs also. I only go there during the week and do the more difficult trails that lead to section 16. The further back you get in the park the less people you will encounter on the trails. Nice place to go for a walk with your dog or kids, if you're okay with your kids getting muddy. In the summer, this area is dry, but right now, most of the trail paths are muddy. The views are nice and this isn't a strenuous walk by any means. You can make this walk as long or as short as you'd like.
