Safeway Bakery — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

I don't normally review chains because most of the reviews are predictable: for example, at Chili's, you can expect good ribs and a sodium headache. At Dunkin, you can expect weak coffee and dry donuts, but at least there's a drive-thru. And at (most) Safeways, you can expect a mediocre cake decorator with shaky writing, but the fair price makes up for it 🤷‍♀️. However, the reason I felt compelled to leave a review for this particular Safeway bakery is because a woman named Dawn Camacho is AMAZING!!! She has been decorating cakes for years and years and does an absolutely beautiful job. In reality, she should have her own shop or work for a high-end bakery, but I'll just accept the fact that we are blessed to have her expertise and artistic talent. If you want her to decorate a cake, give her a few days' heads-up. Like, if you want a graduation cake... think ahead of the thousands of other people who also want a graduation cake. (I speak from personal experience on this one). Attached are two of the beautiful, delicious cakes...
