I sent my child in to this location to buy snacks while I waited and watched from outside, to build confidence with handling money and ordering food from a stranger. The cashier received the $50 bill and provided change as though it had been a $20 bill. Then, on a second trip in the store moments later, accompanied this time by an adult, the store manager was involved. The cashier in question asserted he had provided the correct change as he was adamant that he had been handed a $20 bill. However, with the manager's involvement through opening the money drawer, it was confirmed that the original money provided was a $50 bill. The manager corrected the change.
How does one rate their experience with an organization which was soured by a single employee? You would like to believe that an honest mistake was made at the onset. However, with the cashier given a second chance, and adamant that a $20 bill was originally provided, one has to consider what this story actually looks like: that the cashier seized an opportunity to take advantage of and defraud a child, possibly intending to pocket the difference of $30 for himself.
Multiple lessons were learned through this experience. I'm grateful that the manager corrected the change and showed my child that there are decent people out in the world. I'll assume that the cashier's actions were dealt with in accordance with company policy, however, I'll likely never know as I'm certain I will not be returning to...

When I checked out & paid I realized I was charged full price. I asked the clerk if she could fix it, She scanned it again and was like “ I don’t know why it’s ring up for full price?” And then just stared at me like “ Uh do you still want it?” Like this is somehow my problem?!!!!! I was literally being forced to pay full price because of her incompetence! Read moreI have never experience such rude customer service from a Starbucks before in my life. I feel like Starbucks prides themselves on customer service and presentation. But Katie at the Starbucks on union and Briargate had no customer service at all! she disregarded anything that I had to say about my scan code not working . I’m not trying to say give me a free coffee but at least exhaust all options before waving me away. Kinda disappointing that one lady Who represents the company not only should look presentable (which she definitely did not ) but also to have the decency to at least help a customer out. no worries though I went to a different Starbucks and they helped me out with great customer service so everything worked out!!
