First off, I have been to the First Watch in Ft. Collins, CO and it was fantastic! Delicious food and wonderful service. I was super excited to see a location pop up in Littleton. (Before reading the review, if you're looking for good breakfast/brunch: TOAST and SNOOZE are significantly better and definitely worth it if there's a wait)
Unfortunately, the Littleton First Watch fell completely flat of my previous experience in Ft. Collins in terms of food and service. We had about a 30 mins wait, to be expected on a Friday morning. My husband ordered a seasonal Baja burrito bowl, I order the trifecta (Belgium waffle, eggs, and bacon) and we decided to try the million dollar bacon. For breakfast food, it took 42 mins to receive our food. A few other tables sat well after us received their orders and were done eating before we even received our food. Very odd, and it could totally be dependent on the kitchen staff. Another table sat before us (with little kids very patiently waiting) received their food moments before us, they probably waited at least 50mins-1hr. The food we did receive was not memorable by any means, mediocre at best. the Baja burrito bowl was quite small. And the million dollar bacon was definitely not worth the $5 and was burnt(in comparison to the regular bacon what was slightly undercooked and floppy). The homemade preserves were all around lacking in flavor. Unfortunately for the time and money we spent to have a nice brunch together, I will not return to...
Read moreI have only been to first watch once. Haven't been back since. I must say I was very disappointed in the service. Our waitress was poorly trained is all I can think. She wasn't able to answer any questions about the menu. And didn't try to figure out what the answer might be. Then when I did finally get my food my egg whites were not cooked. When I let the waitress know that it wasn't cooked enough she just looked at me and said okay. She didn't act as though she needed to take it back or anything. I had to tell her I need a new breakfast. And I also noticed that several people around me were not being taken care of. People were waiting to get boxes for their leftovers to take home and not getting any service. So when we were going up to pay I asked if I could speak to the manager. The manager was the cashier. When I informed him that I think their staff may be needing some more training. He wouldn't even look me in the eye nor did he act as though he had any concern. Sadly I I am at a place where I'm afraid to ever return. It's not a cheap breakfast by all means. I thought the menu was fun though. I like all the different options. But if the service is going to be this poor I have no reason to return when there is no appreciation for...
Read moreFirst visit to First Watch in Littleton, Colorado and had a wonderful breakfast experience. We were looking for a breakfast place on the 4th of July, and First Watch was open, and with a short wait. The front desk was well trained in waiting times and were sat right on time with the estimated time.
Table service was quick and efficient, with beverages served right away and time to look over the menu. Started with a Cheddar Cornbread skillet to share, which was a nice light start, following our breakfast dishes of Veggie Omelet and Classic Eggs Benedict. Both were accompanied by lightly dressed greens but did have the option of diced potatoes instead. Both dishes had fresh ingredients and were served promptly to the table. The dishes were standard breakfast fare, which both were very good.
Overall, we would come again, and would like to try a few of the other options on the menu.
