On March 6,2020 my cousin being the gentleman that his considerate n loving self happens to be took me to go eat TACOS... MY FLAVORITE things to eat.. 🌮🌮🌮🌮💯!!! WHEN We first entered the restaurant it was wasn't busy at all, if I recall correctly 3 tables occupied with people quietly eating. Straight ahead from entrance maybe 50 ft you'll find halfway in there's a few booths on the left and restrooms at the end & to the right of entrance there's a decent amount of open area before the counter space combo bar is reached behind this is an enclosed kitchen, above & and to far right facing of bar hangs a large flat screen TV. The area in the middle of restaurant are many tables n chairs to seat 4 per table, a large group could easily push these tables together to eat as one whole dining party. There's also several tables seating 4 that practically runs along the entire front facing WINDOWS.view of the small parking lot/entry way by way of Pecos street. also visible is I-36. Taking the fact of the of constant traffic of Pecos street itself plus a major interstate such as I-36 HAPPENS TO BE, BUT ITS NOT NOTICEABLE INSIDE EVEN WHERE WE HAPPENED TO SEAT Ourselves at the window area, there was a 5 car accident and went virtually unnoticed by us, until we happened to look out and saw the mangled mess spread out. No fatalities. However I noticed the high ceilings which give this establishment a bigger feel to the atmosphere. Of the meat of this review... $2 Street tacos there small however don't let these little tacos fool you they pack a big punch of juicy, tense, moist shreds of perfectly marinated beef that melts in your mouth or explodes if you don't use caution n take into account the tiny spoons that are in each of the 3 sauces offered their conviently placed together in a 3 bowl sauce n rack serving set... Sauces 1..RED THICK N 👩🏽‍🏭👨‍🏭🌶️💣💥💥💥💥.. Very tasty please don't let this discourage you just use discretion n utilize the tiny spoons lol. Sauce 2..Green same consistency as sauce #1, but it's not that average boring avacado/tomatillo style sauce that can be found at a dime a dozen everywhere its also very unique also in flavor however..... 👨🏽‍🚒🌶️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🌶️👩🏾‍🚒 again I cannot stress this enough.. Proceed with caution for those with a more HEAT SENITIVITY pallet a Lil dab will do. For those cliff divers n thrill seekers I'd do both sauces together so both sides of your brain can explode out your ears... 😜🤣😂👌🏾 Sauce 3..Heres my best attempt of describing just how much of an experience of years long past, my taste buds and my mouth were upset with my lips for savoring this SILKY SMOOTH, Creamy thickness sorta like a gravy but NOT, ITS LIKE MY GRANDMA'S BEEF ROAST N ALL THE VEGGIES IN THE ROASTER... THE BEEFS ..... BIRRIA DE RES.. THE MEAT CHOICE N WHAT THEIR KNOWN FOR N NAMESAKE and for GREAT REASON.. OMGGGGG.. ok placed upon 2 small stacked corn tortillas tenderly soft n steamy w/ cilantro n onion sprinkled lightly across this BIRRIA DE RES WITH THE SIMMERING JUICES visbiie (not soggy) highiy encourage including the suggested meat dipped upon assembly and combined with sauce 3 which I'm guessing is the pureeing of these perfectly seasoned roasted veggies n beef drippings 💖💋💕💯💯💯💜 oh the BUD LIGHT MICHELADA...

The place was very busy and from what I seen online looked like a great place to try, and probably was at one point. The food however was very pricey for what you'll get (there was a steep price increase recently). The building certainly needs repair (broken windows, holes in drop ceiling). Although the staff was very friendly, one waitress is not enough. Food health and safety was a little questionable however only time will tell. The chicken tacos had an off put taste, could have been the seasoning but we passed on finishing them. It appeared that the meat was minced and a small portions of bones made their way in the mix. The quesabirria tacos themselves were great but the consome lacked flavor and was light. The salsa had some heat and decent flavor in spices which were the best part of the meal. All in all, the place just needs a complete makeover from the staff, the food, the atmosphere, and the building. I unfortunately cannot recommend anyone to try this place until those needed changes are made however with the price they are charging hopefully that will...

Ok so my wife and I got a recommendation to try this place from a friend and I was kinda scared because it had a lot of reviews. We went in tonight and it was a great experience. The gal read our mind and knew exactly what we came in for. We got the birria tacos and nachos to go. They were fast and friendly and oh man did everything taste great! I’m not sure why these folks have a lot of negative reviews cause they do not deserve them. The food was kinda pricey but the way I see it is you get what you pay for and it has me already wanting more. I live 4 minutes from this place and have driven past it for several years and wow I’m so glad we finally tried it. I will definitely be going there more frequently. These folks put care into there craft and it shows threw in the quality and flavor. Can not recommend this...
