I was debating on posting this review or not, but I feel others should know that about it, and the lack of response. I originally sent this directly to the owner a few months ago on their “Contact Us” page of their website, and expected to get a response back perhaps a week or so later. I think about 3 months is long enough and do not expect a response any longer. This is what I had said:
“My boyfriend & I came in on Tuesday night for a quick bite to eat. He has brought me here three times already and the last time we didn't have quite a good experience but only with our server so we didn't think much of it. Everyone has off days and the food was good-wait time wasn't bad either.
This time, however, our server took a good 5 minutes before bringing us any drinks and the wait time was so long my boyfriend finished his Coke well before our appetizer came out. Our server did not notice he did not have any Coke left & he had to ask her to grab some for him. Once our meal came out, we realized we didn't even have silverware yet. No big deal since we were sitting outside so we asked for some & our server did bring it out.
Not once were we asked how the food was or if we needed anything else. My boyfriend got up to grab Parmesan for his pizza himself and he was disappointed in the quality of it. The pizza was burnt and although he doesn't mind a crispier crust, his slices were too well done for his taste. He would have mentioned something if we had been asked almost, but he realized it would take a while and we were hungry so he kept his mouth shut. My meatballs were great. I love meatballs and I love your meatballs.
Knowing that he was a little upset by the entire experience, I offered to pay for our meal. When our server came by she waited right next to me and watched while I selected her tip. I found this to be incredibly rude.
She had not been attentive to us at all: first with the drinks, then the refill for his soda, our napkins, and to top it all off not coming by until the end of our meal to see if we needed anything. By then all we needed was a box and a check. Not for her to watch to see how much I would like to tip her.
The most astounding thing was that I could only select either 18%, 20%, or 22%. I could have easily pushed other and given her the 10% tip I thought she deserved by selecting the OTHER option but feeling the pressure, I selected the 18%.
I used to be a server so I am very understanding of having off days, being busy, forgetting items and almost anything else, but I think perhaps the staff could benefit from being re-trained. She did not have to stand by me while I signed.
The last time we were here, the server was huffy & impatient. She nearly gave me a papercut with how fast she collected our menus. She nearly threw my meatball order at me. His Coke refill spilled as she slammed it on the table.
Now we still enjoy the food, but we may have to switch to TO-GO orders only to avoid the...
Read moreWriting this as my husband drives to pick up our order, since I just saw some of the ridiculous reviews posted by others. After being disappointed by the "Top Rated" and outrageously expensive pizza place in Littleton, my hubby and I were hesitant to take the family to MC's after our daughter told us abut it. I can't tell you how thrilled we are to have finally followed her advice as this little place is amazing! I have to admit, I've never been a calzone lover, until now, and I'm absolutely craving their "Leonardo"! It is pure perfection in my opinion, to the point that when asked if I wanted to add anything to it I had to laugh. (Adding anything to it would be like putting a neon pink bow in Mona Lisa's hair and slapping a smidgen of red lipstick on her!) Seriously, the food is excellent. The dough is obviously fresh and handmade, their marinara sauce is a little lighter and tastes like its been made with tomatoes, not tomato sauce or a jug of something red. And, the calzones have all the these wonderful juices sealed inside them - juices that can only come from filling them with fresh ingredients before popping them in the oven. The service was friendly and helpful the first time we stopped in, they recognized us the second time we were there, and the third time our waitress thought to ask about my daughter since she hadn't seen her in a couple weeks! Prices are reasonable to cheap, especially when you consider 2 adults can eat for less than $20, and have leftovers for later (that are still delicious!) Try doing any of that statement at McDonald's or Arby's, it actually costs us less to come here than go out for crap fast food. The place is a little small, which doesn't bother me in the slightest, and the just a little too much on the walls decorating is fun, friendly and adds to the charm. (The Pizza Time clock, with pepperoni instead of numbers cracks me up!) This is the best resteraunt, large or small, with the best food, staff and prices I've found...
Read moreTucked away in a modest strip of Littleton, MC Pizza is the kind of place you don’t just stumble into—you’re either lucky or you’ve heard whispers from someone who knows where to find true, handmade pizza magic. Run by the delightfully eccentric and warm-hearted Mike, this little pizzeria punches far above its weight in both character and flavor.
From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that this isn’t a cookie-cutter pizza joint. The décor is charmingly eclectic, a reflection of Mike himself: quirky, genuine, and full of soul. You’re as likely to get a slice of conversation as you are a slice of pizza, and both are well worth your time. Mike moves with the urgency of a man on a mission—because he is. That mission? To craft the perfect hand-tossed pizza, and he’s well on his way.
The dough is where MC Pizza truly sets itself apart. Hand-stretched to order, it strikes a near-perfect balance: chewy with just the right pull, blistered slightly from a well-seasoned deck oven, and sturdy enough to support generous toppings without overwhelming the bite. This is no grease-laden fast-food pie; it’s pizza made by someone who cares—someone who obsesses over his sauce-to-cheese ratios and tweaks his ingredients like a composer tuning an orchestra.
And oh, the ingredients. The mozzarella is high-quality and used in just the right proportion, melting into a creamy layer over the bright, balanced tomato sauce. Whether you go classic (pepperoni is a must-try) or experimental (ask Mike what he’s excited about that day), the toppings are fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully applied.
What sets MC Pizza apart isn’t just the food—it’s the feeling. Mike treats guests more like neighbors than customers. You leave not only satisfied but appreciated, seen, and a little better for the interaction.
In a world full of overhyped food and soulless service, MC Pizza is a reminder that real hospitality, real flavor, and real people still exist. Littleton is...
