Went here on Halloween nite (big mistake) was attempting to get my free bday offer before it expired you can redeem your free offer any day 1 time through the entire month. place was so crazy an they were already cutting off any more seating an it was only 830 they close at 10pm. it's not really fair to judge them based on it being a holiday nite but seems they coukc of been more prepared for the rush only 2 servers an one was the manger . place was a mess kids running around screaming didn't want to take my order I said we'd take it to go but I guess the offer is for sit down dinning only which theft aren't doing either every frustrated as the waitress kelp walking off to speak with other guests n always in Spanish I really don't like that it always makes me fell comfortable like they are talking about me. Finally got them to agree to make it to go an we would wait. What a wait 45bmin before we got our 1 order a basic Slam Breakfast not a grand slam just basic on what every that means. it was so sad 1 bacon (raw) 1sasuage 2 pancakes an scrambled eggs such a small amount an not sure if it was even 2 eggs no potatoes ,,, Ok all Slams come with hash browns come on! said we could add them for a price but not now ... ok again didn't know this they added on a 25 % gratuity again not told this nor is that listed in the apps bday offer guidelines said nothing about sit down dinning as a must. I have to say in Aug when it was my husband birthday we had. no trouble at all no too added on take out fine we did pay to up grade hash browns to red skin potatos which were included in the grand slam offered 4 meats total 2 bacon 2 sausage 2 exlarge pancakes an 2 scrambles eggs (we added cheese to them) expected to pay for that but there was no charge over all a completely different meal without any restrictions at all . we didn't order it from this Denney's but there shouldn't be a nite an day difference it's a birthday offer across the board an the app is the app for all Denney's. bottom line long wait small portions inflated tip so undeserving of. Food was cold an so plain no condiments were included no napkin's or silverware. Over all I felt ignored made to wait a. excessive amount due to the "Free" meal . was treated as if out being there was a huge inconvenience to them . don't know how else to say this so her goes... we were the only white slot in the entire restaurant an the only English speaking patrons . the manger an female employee were rude to us pointing an laughing with other customers as they came an went all conversations were in Spanish. Just not a very pleasant experience an based on the reason for our vust there ...after all it was a bday offer but not...

I was just sitting here and thinking how servers USED to get paid half of minimum wage way back in the day because they literally lived off of the tips but nowadays, servers get much more. If I'm not mistaken, they get minimum wage now PLUS tips. If this is true, this is crazy to me because service has certainly not increased in quality across the board. In fact, in many places, the service has declined.
My friend ordered the CHICKEN FRIED STEAK. I ordered the CHICKEN BISCUITS AND GRAVY. The wait was ridiculous and I had to ask for coffee to be refilled. I also had to ask for a napkin because I didn't get one.
Now, for some reason the server gave me the exact same item as my friend, the chicken fried steak. I took one look and said, "is this what I ordered?" Instead of apologizing, the server bold faced lied to me. She said, "We always assume you mean the chicken friend steak. Did you mean the chicken biscuits and gravy?" She said this with a straight face....I didn't even know how to respond. If I didn't wait 25 minutes for this, I would have sent it back. She asked me if I wanted (the item I actually ordered). I was like...."what?".
I told her I didn't want to wait so I would just take it. When I got the bill, I thought maybe they would have adjusted it. But nope. Charged me for a chicken fried steak. And how is coffee that NEVER gets refilled 4 dollars??
Sorry... not sorry. I will not be returning to Dennys. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. I can understand a mistake when it's busy but if they are that busy, a little adjustment wouldn't hurt. I'm sure they could afford it. Although the turnover rate is really not that good so it probably isn't really that busy, they are just really slow so it seems busier than it is. And the fact that she actually thought giving an excuse which indicated me as the problem was going to be OK... is NOT.
If you want to try it... Good luck. I can find much better places for less price. And better...

I ordered country fried steak from the senior menu. It says you can choose two sides to go with that meal. From the sides menu on a previous page I chose seasoned fries and corn. My country fried steak had very little gravy on it. The seasoned fries were good. And the corn was tasty. Maybe a little too much pepper on the corn. Although I did not add any. From the time we ordered till the time we got the food seemed like an hour. The restaurant was not busy at all, there were just a few people there. The cook must have been on break or something. The waitress apologized for the delay when she brought the food. When I got the bill there was an extra charge for $.99 for seasoned fries? I looked at the menu and there was no extra charge for any side dish. When I got to the register I questioned the cashier about this extra charge. She showed me a small red box in the middle of the hamburger page that states there is an extra charge of $.99 cents for seasoned fries. I objected to this charge and refused to pay it. Claiming that the statement is on the hamburger page and not in the sides section next to the name seasoned fries where it should be as well if they're going to charge for it. They tried to get me to pay for it but I refused. Told them to change the menu. She took the charge off my bill. I will never visit this Denny's location again.
