El Oso Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Columbia Township

Has an excellent front deck, and the margaritas are pretty solid. It would make for a great place for afternoon porch drinks. The food on the other hand, was disappointing. I had the Guanajuato (chicken burrito, chicken enchilada, guac, sour cream, and pico). The guac seemed watered down, it was almost runny and lots of lime in it. The chicken was bland and completely unseasoned. I'll acknowledge that the pico was decent. My sister came with and had the Chile relleno plate. The rellenos were pedestrian. Tasted like they used some pepper jack which felt like an odd choice. The refried beans were truly bad. They just didn't taste right and again, were very unseasoned. The rice was just there. If I could give more stars for service, I would!!! I placed an order through doordash this evening, even paid the extra fee to have it priority delivered. When it arrived, we were missing all 3 entrées. I called the driver, he told me there was only one bag for the order. I called El Oso and they told me there were 2 bags with the order and that I should contact doordash. Right after I hung up, I immediately got a call back from El Oso saying the other bag had been left there. I wish I could remember his name, but the gentleman who called me back told me he'd be willing to bring the rest of the order himself! I tried to tip him and he was so kind he just wouldn't take it. I hate having to update my review but after a recent visit I don’t think I’ll return. I ordered take out through their site and they never updated the order online witb a time to come pick up the order so I went in after waiting 30 minutes from ordering to find they had just given it away without verifying who’s food it was. When I asked what I was supposed to do about the food I ordered they said I had to go through their website to get it figured out instead of just fixing the issue on their side. They did say they could give me my order if I did a reorder which I did take them up on, but somehow even after giving them it written down they gave me the wrong food.
