Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Columbia

Well. Went to this Applebee's location. Terrible experience. I went there with a family of 7. Thinking it was going to be wonderful. Walked in was greeted by the bus boy for seating. Finally seated. Waitress come finally after sitting for 15mins. She takes our order including drinks. After 15mins of waiting no drinks. 5 Drinks finally come , remember I said party of 7. Waitress comes say the tea is brewing still but will bring it out never offered if we would like another drink or wait for the tea. But we waited. Finally after another 20mins another Waitress not the one we started with comes out with 2 orders kids meal. One order was wrong. Sent it back for correction. Another Waitress. Bring out 1 appetizer order was wrong. Took that back bought out another appetizer nacos was so cold that the cheese was stuck to the chips. Never-ending we never got out Tea yet it's still brewing offered water or anything to accommodate for not having the tea. Finally 2 new Waitress come out with the same kids order which was wrong the first time they bought it out again. So now we have 2 kids who ate eating and 2 who is not. The adult order well needless to say we still not eating appetizers or our meal. At this point the manager comes out to serve a order and it was wrong we complained. No.problem I'm going to take care of this. FINALLY 2 new Waitress come out and asked us what was our order. Really where is the Waitress who took our order??? She working the bar. She comes from behind the bar and says what's going on. Ma'am you took our order you knew what everybody here ordered and nothing came out yet that was right.. SMH. We still waiting no tea no food appetizers or nothing. A new Waitress comes out with 1 burger and says who ordered this. I have had enough. We will pat for the pizza drinks and the other kids meal. I forgot to say we finally got our tea. Spilled the tea in front of my seat. Floor wet now with ice. Nobody never came to clean it up. So now I need assistance to get up so I won't slip and fall. Before exiting the building. So the adults never ate. Appetizers nor our meal. In the midst of continulsy bring the wrong orders out. We finally got that chicken strip kids meal after then other kids ate their food. POOR SERVICE. I LEFT HUNGRY AND THIRSTY. . Manger tried to apologize. But honey we had enough. He apologizing while stepping in the puddle of tea at the table. SMH. So it wasn't crowded which that was one of the excuse by one if the new waitresses. I feel like my family of 7 deserves better service and a free meal on Applebees. I was expecting to take my family out for good food and a hood time. Instead we left hungry and disgusted very...

A BAD APPLE My family of 5, plus a child, arrived at 10pm and was seated within 10 minutes. The waitress was kind and personal.  Aria.  It was her first day.  It was also her last because she was just as frustrated with the restaurant as we were. The kitchen, bartender, and manager were very poor at their jobs. The 1st round of drinks and an appetizer rolled out slowly over the 1st 30 minutes. We heard Last Call at 1045pm and tried to order more drinks.  The bartender printed the ticket at 1048pm, and even though the legal time to end service is 0200am, no drinks for us.  She promised to take them off the bill. An hour in, we got salads from a frazzled manager who said "Two Ceasar Salads?"  I said "Actually, we need four Ceasar salads."  I was quickly reminded that she is only one person. Two more completely different salads (dishes, type of lettuce, and dressing were  all different) showed up 5 minutes later.  The lady who brought them slowed down enough to realize that we had no silverware.  Aria brought that moments later. At 1130, we still didn't have actual food, and we asked that it just be put in boxes to take home. We had already seen people leave without even getting their food at all, because it had taken so long. At 1145pm, we got the check and the food.  The check still included the unfilled drink order and a charge for a video game that we didn't play. The bartender resurfaced to advise that she can't take the drinks off since they already ran the card, so the whole ticket would be canceled, with a refund in 3-5 business days, but they would charge the correct amount again tonight.  So, double the draft from our account because she didn't do her job correctly.  Hopefully the refund does happen. UPDATE: I wrote this review while my husband drove us home. Turns out that even though we verified with the server that all meals were packaged up, when we got home we were missing one steak dinner. Stay away! We went there because of the deal they are having on their Wings. It honestly sounded to good to be true. FACT! Place was Empty. Around 3,4 tables seated. The hostess/server/busser/bartender greeted us after around 5 min waiting. He was very nice and seemed to be doing that best he could under the terrible circumstances he was in. He explained that it would take around 5,10 minutes for us to get sat. With an EMPTY place; that seemed a little weird but they were clearly short staffed so we waited. That was another couple in front of us that after a few minutes decided to leave. I wish we had done the same. Instead, we were seated after around 10 min and waited another 10 for a server to greet us. Keep in mind that the same guy that was running around, bussing, hosting etc, was our server. Again, he was very nice. We order 2 drinks and watched as the manager was behind the bar looking around, doing absolutely nothing while we waited for our drinks. After ordering the drinks, it took about 10 more minutes for another totally differently sever to ask us about our order. (We were still waiting for our drinks, and at this point, the manager was not behind the bar anymore). They took our orders and we sat for another 10 minutes waiting for at least someone to start making our drinks… NOPE… I can honestly say that I Never walked out from a restaurant after being seated but this was the only thing we could do… we grab our 2 years old boy and left. Overall, we stayed for about 40 minutes and didn’t get nothing to eat or drink. I understand that many places are short staffed but the lack of urgency from the staff that was actually there working, was absurd. They had 2 servers, 1 manager, 1 hostess for 4 tables and they were still able to make this the worst experience we ever had. Don’t be fool by these deals, they are usually costly.
