Captain D's — Restaurant in Columbia

MY sister and I went to this Captain D's on Garners Ferry Rd in Columbia S. C. ON Thursday, 10/07/2019 at around 3pm to pick up our rather large order that we had previously placed on line. We arrived at the drive thru window and waited and waited and waited to let the drive thru cashier know that we were there to pick up our order. My sister and I kept saying hello, hello is someone there? After awhile a lady came to the microphone and said yes. My sister gave our name and told her that we were there to pick up an online order at 3pm. Right away the cashier says we were told not to hand out orders that were previously placed online, you have to come into the lobby, but I'll do it this time. I told my sister that can't be true because I just read online before I placed our order that we could pick it up ASAP or at a future time? It also said the online order could be picked up in the lobby or you could pick it up at the drive thru window. We opted to pick it up at the drive thru window because we are elderly and disabled. The cashier at the window was impatient and rude. She rattled off our order, handed it thru the window. We said thank u and got no response. NOT A SMILE, Not A Nod, ...

Ate here at 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. They were busy but not to busy. I was greeted as I walked in the door. My order was taken quickly and my server "Joye" was very nice. By the time I went and washed my hands and got back to my table Joye served my food. The presentation on the plate was nice and the servings were plentiful. The fish was hot, lightly battered and not oily or having a burnt oil taste like I've had elsewhere. The plate was clean and I enjoyed the condiment bar, it was clean and we'll stocked. The iced tea was good Southern style and not overly sweet. The malt vinegar bottle and salt & pepper shakers were clean and not oily or greasy. I like the way they have rolls of paper towels on the tables instead of cheap napkins. I ordered the four piece fish dinner and medium iced tea, it was less than $10.00 with a coupon I clipped, and more than I could eat. I took half of the meal back home for a little snack later. I would have given 5 stars but the tables in the dining area we're wobbly, but...

I went in there about about 8 p.m. Columbia SC.Captain D's on Garners Ferry Road the manager in there was so dry and when I say dry.she didn't even have a smile on my face she was looking like she really just didn't want to be there I'm a military veteran I eat maybe twice a week when I'm at work all of a sudden I'm usually paying $10 and something for the exact meal that I usually get and all of a sudden it cost me $15.55 and she didn't want to give me a military discount I guess the lady who been there for some years Miss Perry made it seems like I wanted something for nothing but at the end of the day any other time I go in there the other manager that's there on duty the cashier is there that's on duty there happy they're smiling when it come up to the front to talk to you disrespectful this lady that was the manager on duty tonight wow I would never go in there when she's there again....
