I stayed at this hotel for an extended period, and while there were definitely some positives, a few issues unfortunately affected my overall experience. At first, I was placed on the 4th floor, but there was barely any Wi-Fi signal there. The front office team informed me that this was a known issue affecting both the 3rd and 4th floors. Since I relied on a stable internet connection during my stay, I asked if it was possible to move to a room with better reception. The only available option was on the 1st floor, directly next to the breakfast area. While the Wi-Fi worked perfectly there, the noise started around 5 AM due to breakfast setup and service, which made it difficult to sleep in. After a few days in the new room, I began experiencing repeated power outages. Each time, it started with a loud beeping noise coming from the lobby area, followed by a brief but complete loss of power for a few seconds. I reported the issue a few times at the front desk. At first, I was told that an external company had been called to fix the problem. Later, someone else said that mine was the only room affected, which I found hard to believe—especially since another staff member eventually mentioned that the issue might be affecting the whole street. The inconsistent communication was frustrating and made me feel like the situation wasn’t being taken seriously. In the end, I decided to check out and move to another hotel, where I had no such problems. Despite all this, I want to highlight the friendly and welcoming attitude of the team. In particular, I’d like to thank Mrs. Peggy. As many other guests have mentioned, she truly goes above and beyond. Her kindness and commitment made a real difference, and she played a big part in helping me feel comfortable during my stay. The hotel itself offers some great amenities. The gym is open 24/7 and includes two treadmills, bikes, and some free weights. Next to it is a laundry area with two washers and dryers, which cost $2 per load and are operated via an app. I also enjoyed the outdoor pool area, which has loungers and seating and is open from 8 AM to 8 PM. Breakfast was another highlight—served from 6 to 9 AM on weekdays and until 10 AM on weekends, with a great variety of options. I also really appreciated the complimentary bottled water and cookies provided for guests—such a thoughtful and welcoming gesture. On top of that, there are two outdoor grills available for guest use, which is a nice bonus. All in all, the hotel has a lot of potential, and I really appreciated the warm hospitality. Still, the recurring electrical issues and the lack of clear communication left a negative impression on what could have been a much more...
Read moreBuyer Beware!! I’ve stayed at several Hilton hotels, this by far was my worst experience I have ever had at a Hilton or any hotel for that matter. I always try to spread positivity in spite of poor treatment, so I will still give credit where it is due. To front desk employee, I think your name was Deidra who checked me in, thank you for your kindness, amazing professionalism, and being so helpful. I really appreciate you. You are the only highlight of this stay! A few hours after checkout, I noticed a $280 charge on my account. I called customer service and was informed that I had been assessed a $250 + $30 tax fee for smoking. I was outraged, deeply offended, and livid. There was no smoking whatsoever in my room. I would never break policy in any room because of how I was raised and who I am primarily. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was no longer there to communicate the issue of what I was being accused of. In talking to the front desk associate the day of checkout about the issue; she was extremely rude throughout the call. She could not give me a legitimate reason why I was being charged and said it could have been ashes or something in the trash can. There was no ashes, smoke, or anything proven to be in the room, just staff uncertainties. She grew upset with me being 100% certain that there was no smoking in the room and informing her that there was no evidence of smoking which to me what seemed like just a made up charge. She then threatened me that I could lose my Hilton Honors membership, yelled at me and hung up the phone. I have filed a complaint with customer relations and my next step is to email everyone I can, even up to the CEO to get my story heard. I am not going to stop spreading what happened to me. I am a college educated woman who works in healthcare and follows several policies a day. I would never smoke in a hotel of any kind. Also I had a reservation at another Hilton Hotel for 2 days prior to this 1 day stay. I only booked here because I decided to extend my vacation an extra day and this hotel just happened to be cheaper at the time. I had no issues in the other hotel, and I staff and I engaged so much they remembered me by name. I do the right things and treat people the right way. This should never happen to anyone but for someone supporting your brand with no issues ever, these employees have to do and be better to the customers. My previous review made was issued another Hilton Hotel and it was beautiful and written with gratitude. I love to travel, I’d never put at risk my ability to rest my head at the right hotel. Overall, I wouldn’t ever recommend this hotel to anyone,...
Read moreI can’t believe I almost judged this beautiful hotel due to the area. My Boyfriend and I pulled up and was immediately greeted with love, great customer service and some good ol southern hospitality by the General Manager and the hotel staff. The front desk had two employees where one was the employee of the month and the other was new but you’d never know from the information and professionalism that was given .
While on a hotel tour with the general manager we discovered that they had 3 stray cats that lingers around that they ended up adopting, naming and making apart of the Hilton family . Although I’m not a cat person , I truly loved the idea ! Not only did I love the idea but I loved the hotel amenities. The gym, the fire pit , the pool, the inside and outside games , the coffee and tea bar that was set up to perfection ! Did I mention that they have a dog bowl filled with fresh water if you’re a dog lover ?!?
I also had a great encounter with the head of Maintenance, some incredible housekeeper’s and some of the evening shift front desk employees.
As a diamond member , I’ve stayed at numerous Hilton’s across the 50 states and this has been my favorite . The energy , cleanliness , professionalism, hospitality and the leadership of the General manager really stood out to me .
I would recommend anyone who loves their self and their family to stay here if you’re in the Colombia, SC area . It’s worth the stay and it’s definitely worth the money !
I will be back as much as I can , even if it’s to stop in to say hey...
