Saw this restaurant while going to the mall decided to give it a try. Went in took a quick look at the sushi bar and it looked okay. Took a table started off with some sushi fried calamari and some octopus salad. Sushi was kind of small but not bad the fried calamari was undercooked it was like eating rubber. Finish that got another order this time would look like salmon but it was painted with some sort of red red jelly on top so I took a little piece got some roast beef got some oysters went back to my table. The salmon thing was inedible and just awful I spit it out into the napkin. The roast beef was super overcooked as dry as the desert and his chewy as a tire on my bicycle. The oysters didn't look bad so I got a container of sauce that had some horseradish in it got back to the table got the oyster out of the shell dipped it in the sauce put it in my mouth the oyster was bad and it had a bad aftertaste and was very fishy. I shouldn't have swallowed it but I did. Try it a few other things but the most outstandingly awful thing was the sweet and sour soup. To me it tasted like a dish that was washed but not rinsed completely and some hot pepper sauce with a few tiny pieces of green onion it was absolutely awful. I do not recommend this place it is beyond substandard don't go. If you want a buffet that's actually very good go to Jasmine buffet. I reviewed them a couple of times. The quality of the food is much much better their salmon is Big generous pieces that you actually wouldn't get anywhere I'm sorry I mean the size of there and the quality of their sushi the salmon, is cooked in butter and it's absolutely wonderful and sometimes they have fried tilapia very tasty and they made a brown sauce to go with it. I do not work for Jasmine I'm not an investor of theirs I'm just a person that likes food that's tasty and doesn't break my .wallet. As far as this grill it's just awful stay away you'll be...
Read moreDefinitely the worst Chinese buffet in the area. Maybe worth it if you only eat seafood…crab legs, crawfish, etc but not worth it at all if you don’t. None of the vegetable or chicken options are delicious. When we were coming in, the cashier man was outside on the front bench smoking…he got up in front of us, blew his smoke out while walking in front of us right in our breathing space, with children mind you… but at least he held the door for us to go in. We got sat smushed in with a bunch of other people even though the whole other side of the restaurant was empty. The food is ok tasting though a lot was greasy like the rice and the other things like the noodles had no taste. Visited the bathroom and it was extremely dirty… women’s had 5 stalls, 2 with out of order signs, 1 locked from the inside, 1 with a broken toilet seat and no toilet paper and the last with a toilet that hardly flushed. Even though we paid $11 for 4 drinks, we were pretty much limited to one cup each since the only way we even got one more refill was to stand at the curtain and ask for one. The kicker of the visit was the employee using a handheld electric bug zapper around the buffet and behind the hibachi area just dropping the flies on the floor…I mean that by itself is just gross. For the price, you’re much better off going to any of the other ones around…Blossom, Eastern, Jasmine, Forest, even Tokyo. This is the first one I was in the bathroom with explosive d the minute...
Read moreI'm not sure if we hit it at the wrong time/day but it was not a good experience. My husband and I ended up there after forgetting that Texas Roadhouse didn't open until 3 today. We got there around 1:30 and it was our first and probably last time eating there. All of the sauced chicken dishes had a weird meat texture- mushy yet stringy. I think it wouldn't have that problem if cut smaller. I had to pick feathers off the sauced wings and it was very sweet. Sweet and sour sauce tastes like cherry (?) syrup. The pineapple ham and sausage slices was really good. Sushi had things like pineapple which didn't hit the spot but there were a few good ones. Dumpling sauce was so surprisingly sweet that we couldn't taste the actual dumpling and was too put off to try without. Cheese wontons are just plain cream cheese it seemed, no seasoning or add ins like green onion or even imitation crab. Salad bar lettuce was soaking wet. The dessert bar was fine. The brand of ice cream/ sherbet is good and they have a nice selection. My husband enjoyed the pudding and donuts. Cakes were decent. Sweet tea was very good.
Service- Excellent customer service. Our waitress was very attentive and kept our glasses full and plates cleared.
Atmosphere - it's a very nice place inside and fairly clean. They had music playing and TVs on sports. Bar was kept wiped clean. Bathroom was the weak spot but not the worst. Glass beside booths could use a wipe down especially...
