I was excited to learn about a new Haitian restaurant. I love Haitian food and eat it often. I had the beef legume with white rice with sos pwa (black bean 'sauce'). It was okay, I have had much better.

The beef was shredded and scanty. I could barely taste it. The white rice was a bit bland. There's an art with the various Haitian rice dishes. The white rice often has a nice garlicy favor that this one was missing.

I also was able to taste the pork griot. One of my friends ordered it with Djon Djon rice (rice blacken with mushrooms). This too was just okay. The pikliz was interesting. The cabbage was sliced in bigger pieces (not typical small shredded pieces) and it was something else different about it but I forget. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture.

The owner came by and was very nice, friendly and helpful with the selection/ordering. I wish I could have given it more stars as I know starting a new restaurant is difficult. I think this might have must been an off day since there's a lot of...

It was good. The chicken dish was not a chicken I had in Haiti, but rice and red beans, Akra, bannann peze and pikliz were quite good and authentic. Pate kode is different everywhere and The chicken pate kode was fine; it was small and nothing amazing, just a chicken filing. Portions were really underwhelming for the cost. $4 pikliz was a Dixie cup. Bannann peze was a good value. Cola on the menu was coca-cola not cola couronne, that was a big bummer!

Over all it was good food, it just felt expensive! I spent $52 on food for two people. We easily finished it and had to buy my son a pizza after because it wasn’t enough for him.

Also if you order on Uber eats beware of service fee. It said no delivery fee but there were other fees added at the very end. That’s on me not them! Just be aware. They were very kind and called when they had to make a substitution in my order....

I really wanted to like this place, but I was let down. So I ordered Uber eats, I called because I had some questions, they had a really short menu and the lady on the phone was extremely helpful. I added some things to my order over the phone because the Uber eats menu didn’t offer it. I had the legum with sos pwa, side of cabbage, fried green plantains and the mac au gratin and a soup joumou. It is Ć  la carte, so every side is sold separately they don’t do meal combos. The order arrived and it looked good and smelled good but it lacked so much flavor. And that was the general consensus across every dish and side. I had to season everything and there was no hint of Haitian flavor, just wasn’t authentic. It’s like no epis was used at all. To be transparent I ordered the veggie legume and the veggie soup, perhaps that was why it lack flavor, but I doubt it. I felt like...

I’m Haitian, and for Father’s Day, my daughter treated me to this restaurant, which I hadn’t heard of before. I was genuinely excited to try their Haitian cuisine. Sadly, the experience was very disappointing. The patĆ© lacked flavor, the griot was tough, dry, and chewy, and the bannann peze had a rubbery texture. It all tasted as if it had been reheated in a microwave long before it reached our table. I wish I had something positive to say, but I’ll leave it at that.

Located within the Clarksville common foodhall, this splendid little shop offers a variety of Haitian cuisine. The owner who runs it is very friendly, and explained the different menu options to me as I am not too familiar with Haitian cuisine. I ended up getting the Pumpkin Soup since it was a special and, well, its fall! It was amazing. Big chunks of stewed pumpkin and potatoes and helping portions of very tender beef. Highly recommend!
