They are getting one star because I can't make a post without providing one star. That is all.
I stopped by here to keep myself from having to get out of the car in this oppressive southern heat and ended up inside anyway. Here is how it all played out...
I get to the drive thru speaker to order and the young lady answering greeted me and asked for my order. I began ordering and asked for 6 McDoubles with no ketchup. The response was "How many?". I replied with 6. Again, the response was "How many McDoubles did you want?", I replied with 6. I then counted 1, 2, 3, 4,5, 6 to ensure that we were understanding one another at this 3rd point of repeating the order. Then I hear the young lady get snarky and say "I'm not slow". I asked her what she had just said and she replied "What else". I said again, what did you just say? She said "Go Ahead". I said that is not what you just said. She then replied, "I said I'm not slow! You out there counting to me, I'm not slow". At this point, I explained to her that I counted it out because we have the barrier of her not being able to see my mouth when I am talking and she had already asked me multiple times, I explained I was attempting to help her by being more clear. I then asked why she felt the need to speak to me the way she just did as I didn't deserve the snarky response. To which she replied "What else do you want".
I pulled out of the drive thru and parked in the parking lot and went into the restaurant. There were several girls walking around behind the counter with headsets on and I could not identify which one had been speaking to me so I asked for the manager. The female manager who approached me asked how she could help, I explained the situation to her and she replied that she had just written the employee up (BS... In the time it took me to get out of the drive thru and into the store, Flash Gordon couldn't have written that employee up) she went on to say she was going to take my order instead but I had already left the speaker. I explained that the treatment I received from the employee was unacceptable and completely uncalled for and that she is in dire need of training to prevent this from happening again in the future. The female manager went on to explain that she was a new employee and that she was still nervous on the speaker. At this point, I requested the name of the store owner. I was only told "Mr. Langley" and only given the number back to the store that I was already standing inside of at that time. I asked for the name of the employee so I could report her by name. The female manager then went and got a male manager who appeared to be getting off of work. He went to the back with her for a moment and then came back out.
I never got the name of the employee and when I called the number provided I was told that Mr. Langley would be calling me back and that he had already been told what happened. This happened on Friday, I have yet to hear from Mr. Langley and it is now Monday afternoon. Not acceptable either.
The male manager did de-escalate the situation and made amends for the situation by comping the meal that was ordered. His level of professionalism, ability to take ownership, class, and ability to resolve conflict makes me wonder why he is limiting himself to working at McDonald's. He is a real asset to the company. Hands down.
As for this McDonald's, for the love of God and all things holy, if you are in this area, pass this place by, unless you like being treated like something on the bottom of a shoe and I am not talking about gum. They lost a...
Read moreNow, I know I'm not ordering from a 5-star Michelin restaurant. I don't expect much. Regardless, this was ridiculous.
I used the mobile app and drive-thru for pickup.
I ordered a large fry, which was no issue. I also tried ordering an oreo frappe. The app states it's available, but it could have easily been grayed out if the restaurant communicated.
We get there, and they inform us the frappe machine is down and ask could they substitute a large oreo shake? I'm not in the mood to fuss or go anywhere else... so I agreed to it. We get the shake... and it's vanilla ice cream with a hefty scoop of oreo on the bottom and the top, not even mixed in. How lazy can one employee be?
The picture is after I shoved the top layer of oreo down and stirred the rest with a plastic fork. It isn't that I had to mix it, the issue is the incompetence and lack of care for quality. I get that McDonalds isn't luxury, but your standards could be a tiny bit higher.
The only thing you can ever count on with McDonalds is that one or all of their frozen anything machines is "broken." Those machines are almost always fine, but the employees don't want to clean them. Cool, say that. Stop lying to customers. Stop offering crap you don't even have. It really isn't that hard!
Oh, and... for anyone wondering... the price of that "shake" was almost $8. All I wanted was something sweet with coffee in it. What I got was the least shaken shake I've ever seen in existence.
This is the best you've got? How about ba da ba ba ba... "Our machine is broken." There's...
Read moreI continue to have problems when picking up mobile orders from this place. They have got my last 2 mobile orders incorrect, giving me the wrong food. Yesterday I redeemed points in the mobile app for a spicy chicken sandwich but instead received a big Mac, fries, and a diet coke. I pointed out I had received the wrong food (at the 2nd window) and the employee there seemed irate, said "what does that even mean?" with an exasperated tone, then stormed off to grab her supervisor. I had to repeat the same exact thing to her supervisor. All I did was tell her I had a mobile order and had received the wrong food. A minute later passive-aggresive woman comes back and asks me if I'm So-and-so (some woman's name, I could barely hear her outside in my car) and I told her my name- a man's name that sounded nothing like what she yelled at me. She just shook her head and walked off again acting over stressed. I understand it's the epidemic and staffing is low but I would appreciate McDonald's to better train their staff on the mobile ordering system and fix whatever is wrong with me receiving the wrong food then getting attitude from the employees. The manager just looked at me with frustration so I accepted the wrong food and left since they were shaking their heads in frustration. It was way more food then I had ordered and I kind of feel bad for whoever got my spicy chicken sandwich. I won't be coming here again. Nothing is reliable with the ordering system and I risk angering the employees who...
