I am leaving a one star review due to the customer service I received. A women at this location answered, I told her I was calling to check on a pizza. I had placed a scheduled delivery order for 8 hours in advance. The order was scheduled for 5 PM and the guy I placed the order with on the phone assured me it would be there by 5. It was 5:15 and I hadn’t heard anything not received any update saying it was delayed. This brings us to when I called to inquire about the order. The lady told me that the order was still waiting to be assigned to a driver to which I replied. The order was supposed to arrive at 5 PM. It is now 515. Then laughed at me and said ma’am, we cannot guarantee your order to get there at 5 PM on Halloween night. Granted I had already been assured by the man I placed the order with earlier. (The time I scheduled allowed for us to eat pizza before my children needed to go trick-or-treating.) I explained this to the gentleman and he told me my order would be there by 5 PM. I can understand a few minutes behind, but 515 and it hasn’t even been assigned to a driver yet? She then proceeded to laugh and tell me that she “ has a lobby full of people that all want their pizza at the same time” in a very condescending manner. I understand people also want their pizza, but I highly doubt every person waiting for their order had placed their order eight hours in advance like I had. It would’ve been no big deal, I understand things happen. Had the lady not laughed and been condescending when I was expressing my concern that I hadn’t even been alerted there was a delay on the pizza to which she continued to tell me that the customers in the store were still waiting on theirs. Her attitude implied that somebody waiting in the store’s pizza is more of a priority than an order placed in advance for preparation. To make a long story short my grandkids wanted pizza which is fine with me since it’s my favorite but it was pouring rain out so I thought delivery...I’m completely serious when I tell you it said estimated delivery time was 90+ minutes so I loaded my toddler twin grandsons back in my car after calling papa John’s and asking if they just kept the delivery charge on could I come pick it up...yes that’s fine it’s coming out of the oven now...so y’all was gonna bring me an almost two hour old pizza ...ok whatever... I said can I pull up in front of the door and someone bring it out to my car please since I’m being charged for delivery so I don’t have to get my kids out in this torrential down pour...yes that’s fine...pulled up and was told they couldn’t bring the pizza out to my car...it’s against policy....ok great whatever my grandkids want pizza so now they’re making that quite apparent to anyone that can hear. Omg after all of that craziness I went through I get home and the pizza was cold ...we live 13 min away... the toppings were wrong and it just didn’t taste good 🤦🏻♀️ I sent a complaint via email and never got so much as an apology. Read moreMy husband is currently attending a course on Ft. Jackson, SC. I phoned in an order for him. I told the male employee taking my order that my husband only had a $50 bill and asked if the driver would have sufficient change. The employee assured me that the driver would and that there would be no problem. When the delivery driver comes, the driver does not have change. My husband is hungry and looking forward to some supper at this point. He is very disappointed and upset. So I call back and get put on the phone with a female manager (not a store manager but "a manager"). I explain the situation. She asks who took my order so that she can speak with them to ensure this doesn't happen again. She then asks if we can give the driver the money so that the driver can go get change. We decline and canceled our order. This whole order was handled with such poor communication and professionalism that it really leaves a negative view of Papa Johns. I asked about the change at the beginning of the order to ensure that this problem was avoided. The manager was of no help really. We will not be trusting Papa Johns with our business again and strongly advise others...
