What a fantastic hotel restaurant/bar! We checked into our hotel last night after a long day of driving and chose to eat here rather than venture back out again, and we are so happy we did!
I’ll start by saying that this is a Wyndham hotel that also includes a conference center. So it’s very large and caters to very large groups at one time. The state cheerleading competition was this weekend, and the hotel was packed. There were only 2 restaurant staff, and they had a full bar plus a group of probably 20-30 sitting in the restaurant area that was not even supposed to be open. Needless to say, it was way understaffed. However the 2 ladies working were handling it absolutely as best they could. They were cheerful, helpful, and never stopped moving. I would imagine the kitchen was just as busy, but everything ran as smoothly as possible. The food and drinks were awesome!
Jadyn, who was bartending as well as handling the numerous bar tops was an absolute rockstar! She greeted us with a smile right as we sat down, let us know she would be right with us. She made me a perfect old fashioned, took our food order, and went back to hustling to take care of all the other guests. Our food came out quickly for how busy they were, and exceeded our expectations. We both got their burgers, that were huge for the price. They were seasoned perfectly and cooked with a nice sear. The buns and toppings were fresh and tasty. The fries were crisp and also well seasoned. I meant to take a picture before I started eating, but it looked too good and I was famished. So apologies for the picture not doing it justice. Truly it was a fantastic dinner. The best part however was the service from Jadyn.
The only thing I would say could be improved was that management should have had the restaurant and bar properly staffed for how busy the hotel was. They set their staff up to fail, but the ladies didn’t let that happen. I would absolutely eat here again if staying at the hotel or even in the area.
Thank you Jadyn for a wonderful dinner! And if I spelled your name...
Read moreWe went in for dinner just for the convenience of it being in the hotel. Sitting at the table we were immediately met with the evidence that the table wasnt wiped off from the last customer. First impression..dull, dated, dank. I am usually VERY empathetic to serving staff because I've done the job in the past. This service was absolutely inept. There were 4 of us at the table in a Friday night that was NOT busy at all. Im not exaggerating, all four of us had to ask multiple time for everything. Food, drinks, everything. All deserts were wrong when brought out, and after asking 3 times for his desert, one in our party just stopped asking and never got any. We would have ate and drank more had we not been in there almost 2 hours of struggling just to simply get what we asked for. Im talking from asking several times for menus, asking several times for a drink menu, asking several times to take our order...all of it. Two of the orders were brought out quickly (although both were wrong) and we had finished eating by the time the 2nd two orders were brought out. The kitchen made a mistake and sent out an extra order of onion rings. When we were honest and told her we already had them (which she herself brought us) she just said "oh ok, I will go give them to someone else" instead of just leaving them for the table. We even told her we would pay for them and just leave them. Nope, she picked them up and I watched her take them to someone sitting at the bar. Jeez. Needless to say we wont be back. There were several more from the convention that were planning on coming down. We called them and told them to just go...
Read moreFigured I would write a review on here and tell of my experience. I was here last night, on a business trip, and decided to stop in and give the restaurant a try. I ordered fish tacos, and nachos. After approximately 35–40 minutes, I questioned a waitress where my food was exactly yet?? When I got my food, needless to say, you could tell it had been sitting out, and most of it was ice cold. I voiced my complaint and concern about this, and asked them to kindly get me another plate of loaded down chose. What came back to me? A plate of cold cheese and chicken! Not acceptable! After bickering back-and-forth with these folks… BTW I never got my fish tacos ever, I elected to pay my bill, leave, and settle for a bag of crackers out of the vending machine for my dinner. These folks definitely could use a brush her up on customer service skills, as well as food preparation...
