I have been in customer service for 20 years so I know how to treat your customer. The whole point of retail merchandise or food service or hospitality is to make sure your customer feels completely welcome a long way with comfortable and help them in any way possible to make their experience as satisfying as it can be! instead when I was at Target which is @ the mall, I have never had any establishment make me feel so UNCOMFORTABLE. I was there going through the clearance sale. I tried on some clothes & how to remember I was there shopping for my daughter. I wasn't ever asked if I needed help finding anything. The only time the staff ever did anything was to follow me around the store! When I went to use the bathroom they followed me to the bathroom and as I was walking out they were going into the bathroom like I was stealing. An item didn't ring up as it was supposed to so THEN A GUY immediately RUSHED TO ME (one of the same GUYS that went into the restroom) after I walked out. Instead of offering me assistance when I walked around for an hour looking for a specific item they watched me like a hawk from a distance, making me feel like I was an inconvenience and a thief. I've been in that store a total of three times and I will never return. You don't treat your customers like they're stealing when they're clearly shopping. How dare you be so disrespectful and follow me around the store so you know that I'm clearly lost, looking for an item but not ever offer any help! until I get to check out? Very poor customer service! Thank you for reminding me of why I don't shop at Target. How dare you judge me by my looks rather than treat me as the one of the people that pay your...
Read moreI haven't been to Columbia Mall for a while simply because I don't have other reasons to visit Columbia like I used to. I was delighted to find the mall is still full of quality stores and the mall is still well-maintained and attractive, wish I know cannot be said, unfortunately, of many other indoor malls these days. The stores that I visited (mostly women's clothing stores) were stocked with ample and up-to-date merchandise. I purchased a couple pairs of shoes at the Shoe Department which has always been a lucky store for me in terms of finding shoes that I like and fit well at a good price. I didn't purchase any clothing but I was delighted that there are still a few stores there that have contemporary styles in petite sizes (Read: not frumpy old lady clothes). Those stores are on the expensive side but these days I'm just very happy to find any petite clothing in a brick and mortar store where I can try on clothes and not have to worry about the hassle of returning them if they don't work out, as I do online. I will definitely be...
Read moreA typical Midwestern mall. The gaming area is always fun, especially the bowling. I'm not sure if it's changed since it been a minute since we visited. I do miss the 1980s atmosphere but times change. Food court is good enough. It's mall food not a 5 star dining experience. We love riding the electric animal moped and race them around. Not sure if they're still there. Good shopping with tons of stores. I did go into the massage business and got worked over as if I owed them thousands in barrowed money. I never knew slapping someone on the back was supposed to be relaxing. I left sore. Beaten and bruised with a stiff back. Man, they were not gentle. Lol! It was an experience to remember that I'll never forget. Never. Lol! Go get your steps in and grab a pretzel with the melted cheese....
