Tokyo Grill — Restaurant in Columbia

Good evening, I am a current worker at Tokyo grill and the comments made by this former employee is her way of retaliating. First thing first we had a B from DHEC but it quickly changed to an A because we handle the situations properly. The disgusting remarks about our cook who works very hard are disturbing to me and the staff. We have no problem with our cook and he’s cherished at our establishment. Also, she states we don’t wash our hands like she’s standing in the bathroom with us which is very confusing to me. I have never once went to the bathroom with her or any former employee at Tokyo Grill so that statement is false. When angle was working with us it was hard for her to multitask and move at a quick pace which you are required to do for this job. Her kids and boyfriend would sit outside in the front our establishment non stop, and she would constantly feed herself and her family for free. She would go to the restroom to be on her phone for at least 25-30 minutes multiple times a day during a 5 hour shift! Once again this is a job where you have to be fast paced and work diligently, which she could never handle! She would let the phone ring during busy hours and leave to go back to the bathroom during busy hours. She told our boss that she would take down her comment for $200 which she was told no! Therefore, the comments made about our establishment is based off envy and her way of getting even. Another fact is after she was let go from the job she would send her boyfriend inside to get food after being let go, so therefore she enjoys the food just as much and had no problem paying to get more. My wife worked here and they are an absolutely disgusting establishment. They were even given a B rating from DHEC because of their roach infestation and keeping their meats at Temps that are too high to keep fresh. They make everything as clean as possible when they know DHEC is coming but soon as DHEC walks out the door they go right back to being nasty and unprofessional! My wife was even hurt in the job and they wouldn't even let her call out of work the next day even tho she was unable to even STAND without being in pain! The lady that works up there named MARLA was told at one point my wife was uncomfortable working closely with the cook because he was extremely disrespectful and inappropriate but she refused to hear anything my wife had to say and Marla literally told my wife to just deal with it! None of them wash their hands even after using the bathroom. They don't wear gloves and when you ask to have your meat cooked a certain way they DONT do it they just pretend they did unless you stand there and physically watch the cook the entire time! And when you tell them about allergies you have they just talk trash about you and 9 times out of 10 they don't actually accommodate because they simply think you are saying you have allergies to get fresh food. They are absolutely disgusting! The owners daughter was alerted of my wife's Google review of their restaurant so she contacted my wife attempting to SCAM my wife into taking her review down, even tho she knew everything my wife...

Been here tons of times, food is ok. Don’t bother asking for any temp for steak it’s always well done! Miso soup occasionally has tofu but it’s rare.. my big problem with this place is that the service is pure awful. Staff always has an attitude no matter what. Tonight’s experience was extra special. Tried to use a coupon code via app didn’t work, tried it via web and didn’t work so we called restaurant to see if they would honor. They said yes, just show it when we get there. So we placed order over the phone and my husband went to go get it. Upon arrival the ladies at the counter told him that the coupon had to used online and that we didn’t put in code. My husband tried to explain to the same girl he spoke to on the phone Again that the code was not working. Our food was ready and already bagged but the girl insisted that it needed to be done via the app so she entered the whole order via the app. The app wouldn’t let them add extra sauce and code didn’t work so they tried it again via the website and guess what code didn’t work.... finally they said well we still can’t give you the 5$ coupon but we can take a percent off equaling a little over $3. By this point my husband had been there for 20 mins and one lady already had walked off saying she just count deal with him anymore.... throwing her hands in the air. He took the $3 discount and left with our stone cold food! This place has the worst...
