I came into this bakery because my principal gave us coupons for teacher's appreciation week from this location. Every teacher got two coupons each. I walked up to the counter and presented the coupons for two free cupcakes on June 30. This white lady snapped my head off in an accusatory fashion as if I stole the coupons. She asked me where did I get the coupons and I said Columbus City School District and she said they had no affiliations with CCS and she didn't understand how I got these coupons! She snatched them from me, handed me the cakes, and she ripped up the coupons before me as if I would use them again. I guess she is the franchisee of this store---I guess?
Let me say this, who do you think you are to speak down to me, a black woman in her 50s who came to just simply cash in on what was given to me? Why would you do such a thing over flour, eggs, and sugar? I'm a great baker myself and didn't need to steal your establishment! The way you spoke to me I wouldn't speak to an animal like you spoke to me. First and foremost, someone or an organization had to pay for those coupons. They weren't free. How dare you? I will never visit another "Nothing But Cakes" establishment ever again because I don't have to. I am also going to contact the National Office. Lady, you were foaming at the mouth for no reason whatsoever besides the fact that I was black. Oh yeah, I hope you didn't fire the sweet little black girl you are using for a token on your front counter. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt 3pm today I called to see what 8 inch rounds were available. When I asked if I could set one aside, the employee informed me she could do so with payment. I proceeded to place my order, gave my phone number and paid. I told the woman on the phone it would be my husband picking the order up & asked her if she needed his name, she said no and ended the call. I also never gave my name, only my number.
Fast forward to an hour later, my husband arrives to pick up our cakes. They cannot find my order so he calls me, I reiterate to him who shares with them again that itās under my number. I say what we ordered, assuming they probably donāt have any other pending orders for $41.50 for an 8 inch blueberry and budtinis, and it still gets him nowhere. I have to provide what number I called and send my husband bank account screenshots and call log screenshots to help him confirm weāve placed an order.
They then figure out, despite having had my first name and phone number for the 12 minutes heās been in the store at this point, that their system has my maiden name in it.
Who on earth would think picking up an order would be THIS difficult. When I called to talk to a manager after my husband left feeling upset and berated, I was met with an abundance of attitude from Amy.
Punishing your customers for your short comings is not a good business practice. Iām embarrassed for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām beyond irritated with this location. I called in on the Friday prior to Motherās Day to place an order. I was told over the phone that I was not able to preorder anything but not to worry, they would have plenty there to call back in on Saturday to place an order. I attempted to call back 12 times on Saturday morning and no one would answer. I left a message and name and call back. No return call. I drive to this location and requested to put in an order and was told I had to call the number to place an order. I explained that I had been calling all morning and no one was answering. She said there was nothing they could do and to keep calling. I return home and continue calling. At approximately 4 pm I finally get through to someone and she abruptly tells me they are not taking any more orders. Offers no apology or alternatives, just hangs up the phone. My mom loves these cakes and I get them for her for most occasions. Sadly, I will NEVER...
